Set the date, time & find your calendar

Your Chromebook automatically sets the time when you're connected to the web.

Change your date & time preferences

  1. Sign in to your Chromebook.
  2. At the bottom right, select the time.
  3. Select Settings πŸ‘ Image

  4. Under "System preferences:"

Find your calendar

  1. Sign in to your Chromebook.
  2. To open the calendar, at the bottom right, select the date.
Tip: On your Chromebook’s calendar, you can:
  • View future events
  • Join a digital meeting
  • Manage your tasks

Manage your tasks

  1. Sign in to your Chromebook.
  2. At the bottom right, select the date.
  3. Above your calendar, you’ll find your Google Tasks list.
    • To switch between task lists: At the top right, select Down arrow πŸ‘ Image
      .
    • To switch lists: Select your preferred list from the Drop down πŸ‘ Image
      .
    • To find the full list in Google Tasks web: At the bottom, find β€œEdit in Google Tasks.” Then, select Open new window πŸ‘ Image
      .
    • To add a task: In the expanded view of the list, select Add a task πŸ‘ Image
      .
    • To edit a task: Select Edit πŸ‘ Image
      .
    • To remove a task from the list: Select Complete πŸ‘ Image
      .

Tip: Your task list includes information like:

How your Chromebook finds your location

Your Chromebook uses your IP address to find your approximate location. Your Chromebook sends that info to Google Location Services to estimate your time zone. If you choose "Use Wi-Fi or mobile networks to determine location," your Chromebook also sends info about nearby Wi-Fi or data networks (if your Chromebook has a data plan). This info helps your Chromebook find your location more accurately.
