Get Fitbit Ace LTE software updates
Seasons are software updates that release new content, features, and enhancements for your Fitbit Ace LTE. We may also provide fixes and improvements through these updates.
How it works
Software updates automatically download to your watch when a new release is ready.
- Your watch needs to be connected to Wi-Fi at nearly full charge to receive updates.
- If your watch has insufficient charge, the update is installed the next time you charge it.
- Downloading the updates can take up to an hour, and you can’t use your watch during this period.
Tip: We recommend leaving your device to get updates automatically overnight.
It may take multiple attempts for the update to complete. For example, losing connection to Wi-Fi or disconnecting the watch from the charging cable may pause the update. However, if any part of the process is interrupted, it will resume at the next opportunity. Once the updates are done, your watch automatically reboots.
Find your Fitbit Ace LTE software version
- On your Fitbit Ace LTE home screen, swipe right to access "Daily Quests."
- Swipe to the bottom of your "Daily Quests."
- "You’re playing Season" indicates your current software version.
Note: If it's missing, your device hasn’t installed any updates yet. If this happens, you can manually update your Fitbit Ace LTE watch.
Manually update your Fitbit Ace LTE watch
Important: Ensure that the watch is connected to Wi-Fi and charger.
- Long press the top button (On some versions, swipe down) 👁 Image

. - Tap System 👁 Image
System updates. Fitbit Ace LTE will check for available updates. - When the installation is complete, Ace LTE watch automatically reboots.
- To check whether an update was successfully installed, go to Settings 👁 Image
