Manage & delete your activity in Gemini Apps
When you are signed in and Keep Activity is on, Google stores your Gemini Apps activity in your Google Account. You can review your prompts, delete your Gemini Apps activity, and turn off Keep Activity in My Activity at any time.

- This article covers Gemini Apps activity for a personal account. If you use Gemini Apps with a work or school account, your Gemini Apps Activity settings are controlled by your Google Workspace administrator. Find your Gemini Apps activity
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gemini mobile app 👁 Image

Tips to find specific Gemini Apps activity
- For conversations with Gems, the Gem used is noted in your Gemini Apps activity.
- For Gemini Live chats, the transcripts, audio, files, images, & YouTube videos, and any video or screenshares you choose to share with Live are saved in Gemini Apps Activity if your Keep Activity setting is on.
- If activity includes specific data from your Live chat, it shows a related icon below it.
Delete your activity
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gemini mobile app 👁 Image

- All your Gemini Apps activity: Above your activity, tap Delete 👁 Image

Last hour or Last day. - A specific time period: Above your activity, tap Delete 👁 Image

What happens when Gemini Apps activity is deleted
- If a conversation with a Gem is deleted, it doesn’t delete the Gem. Learn how to delete your Gems.
- If a shared chat is deleted, it doesn’t delete the related public link. Learn how to delete a public link.
- If you delete activity for a Gemini Live chat, any related audio, transcript, videos, and screenshares for that activity are also deleted.
Turn off Keep Activity
Important:
- If you’re 18 or over, Keep Activity is on by default.
- If Keep Activity is off, any Gems you create will still be saved to your account. Any chats you create with Gems will not be saved. Learn more about what happens with your data when you use Gems.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gemini mobile app 👁 Image

Gemini Apps Activity. - Near the top, tap On 👁 and then
Turn off or Turn off and delete activity.- Even when Keep Activity is off, your conversations will be saved with your account for up to 72 hours to allow Google to provide the service and process any feedback. This activity won’t appear in your Gemini Apps Activity.
To turn off Keep Activity:
- On your Android phone or tablet, go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top, tap Menu 👁 Image

Turn off or Turn off and delete activity.- Even when Keep Activity is off, your conversations will be saved with your account for up to 72 hours to allow Google to provide the service and process any feedback. This activity won’t appear in your Gemini Apps Activity.
If Keep Activity is turned off, only the following apps are available:
- Utilities
- Phone
- Messages

- Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Keep, and Google tasks)
- Google Home

- YouTube Music
- OpenStax
Manage whether your audio & Gemini Live recordings are used to improve Google services
Important:
- This setting is off by default.
- To turn on this setting, you must have Keep Activity on.
You can let Google use your audio and Gemini Live videos and screenshares to improve and develop its services, including training generative AI models. Learn more about this setting.
To turn on this setting:
- At the left, tap Menu 👁 Menu

Gemini Apps Activity.- If Gemini App Activity is off, tap Off. Then review the disclosures and tap Turn on.
- Next to Improve Google services with your audio and Gemini Live videos & screenshares, select the box.
- Tap Turn on.
- At the left, tap Menu 👁 Menu

.- If Gemini App Activity is off, tap Off. Then review the disclosures and tap Turn on.
- Next to Improve Google services with your audio and Gemini Live videos & screenshares, select the box.
- Tap Turn on.
Tip: You can turn off this setting at any time.
Change Auto-delete settings
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gemini mobile app 👁 Image
. - At the left, tap Menu 👁 Menu

Gemini Apps Activity. - Near the top, tap Deleting activity older than … months or Choose an auto-delete option.
- Choose how long your Gemini Apps activity is kept (3, 18, or 36 months) or select Don’t auto-delete activity.
- Tap Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
By default, your Gemini Apps activity older than 18 months is auto-deleted. You can turn off Auto-delete or change the auto-delete period to 3 or 36 months.
- On your Android phone or tablet, go to gemini.google.com.

- Choose how long your Gemini Apps activity is kept (3, 18, or 36 months) or select Don’t auto-delete activity.
- Tap Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
How your Gemini Apps activity is deleted from your Google Account
When you choose to delete activity manually or activity is deleted automatically, we immediately start the process of removing it from the product and our systems.
First, we aim to immediately remove it from view. Then, we begin a process designed to safely and completely delete the data from our storage systems.
