Note: When you manually adjust the temperature, the temperature will stick until the next scheduled temperature change. If you donโt want the temperature to change by that point, but donโt want to change or remove your temperature schedule, you can hold the temperature.
Temperature presets
Note: Temperature presets work with the Nest Thermostat and Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) in the Home app and are not available for the Nest Thermostat E or earlier Nest Learning Thermostat models.
With a temperature preset, you can easily set a specific temperature that you repeatedly use a bit faster than manually adjusting the temperature dial.
- Use ready-made presets like Comfort, Eco, and Sleep as soon as you add your thermostat in the Home app.
- Create custom presets. This is helpful for other times you might like a specific temperature thatโs not included in your thermostatโs existing presets, like when youโre working out and want a cooler home or have a guest that likes warmer temperatures than youโre used to.
