Change alarm and timer volume on your speaker or display
You can change the volume of alarms and timers on the following Google Nest or Home speakers or displays:
- Google Home
- Google Nest Mini (2nd gen)
- Google Home Mini (1st gen)
- Google Home Max
- Google Nest Audio
- Google Nest Hub
- Google Nest Hub Max
- Google Nest Wifi point
Control volume with the Google Home app
- Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
- Open the Google Home app 👁 Google Home app

All devices 👁 Image
, then touch and hold your device's tile. - Tap Settings 👁 Image
👁 and then
Audio 👁 and then
Alarms & Timers. - Adjust the volume.
Use the Nest display screen
Use the Quick settings menu to change the volume of alarms and timers on your smart display.
- On your smart display, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Volume 👁 Image
. - Set the alarm and timer volume to the desired level.
Tip: If the alarm and timer volume control doesn't open automatically, tap Expand 👁 Image
