Change Nest Protect Wi-Fi network
If you change your router’s settings, Wi-Fi name or password, or install a new router, you need to update the Wi-Fi information on your Google Nest Protect.
Tip: If you give your new home network the same network name (SSID) and password as the previous one, your Nest products will automatically reconnect.
- On the Nest app home screen, tap Settings 👁 Nest settings icon
. - Select your Protect.
- Go to Device options 👁 and then
Wi-Fi connection. - Tap Next. Nest will attempt to connect to your Protect, and it will start to look for nearby Wi-Fi networks.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Your Protect should automatically reconnect.
