Add or fix a road in Google Maps
If we need to add or edit road information in Google Maps, you can let us know. Google Maps road errors include:
- Incorrect or missing road names
- Incorrect info about one-way and two-way roads
- A road that was drawn incorrectly
- Road closures
- A road on the map that does not exist
- Missing roads
Important: You can only submit edits to Maps in some countries and regions.
Fix incorrect info about a road
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app 👁 Maps
. - At the bottom, tap Contribute 👁 Contribute
. - Tap Update road.
- Select the type of info you want to fix 👁 and then
Select the affected road. - From the bottom tiles, select the road segment you want to fix and tap Next.
- Enter the correct information and tap Send.
Add a missing road
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app 👁 Maps
. - At the bottom, tap Contribute 👁 Contribute
. - Tap Update road 👁 and then
Missing road. - Move the map to where the missing road begins.
- At the bottom, tap Start drawing.
- To draw the road, move the map.
- To shape the road, at the bottom, tap Add point.
- After you draw, tap Next.
- Select the road type.
- If available, add the road name.
- Tap Next.
- Tap Submit 👁 and then
OK.- To add multiple missing roads at once, tap Add another road instead.
