Use On-the-Go for meetings

Important:

• This feature is only available for meetings on mobile devices.

With On-the-Go mode, you can take meetings while you walk, are in a car, or use public transportation. This feature has an audio-only experience with large, easy-to-press call control buttons for fewer distractions.

The experience:

• Turns off your camera and doesn’t let you send or receive video.
• Uses less data.
• Features large buttons for Mute 👁 Image
  , Raise hand 👁 Hand Raise
  , Audio 👁 Image
  where you can choose audio source or turn off sound, and end call 👁 Image
  .
• Provides an optional Show Presentation button that you can turn on or off.
  • Tap Expand 👁 Image
     or Exit full screen to go back.
• Allows you to join breakout rooms and stay in them when you switch to On-the-Go mode.

Join a meeting with On-the-Go while in motion

Meet detects motion and suggests that you switch to On-the-Go mode. On the pop up, tap Go.

Manually enter On-the-Go

In a meeting, at the bottom of the screen, tap More controls 👁 Image
👁 and then
On-the-Go 👁 Image
.

Turn off On-the-Go

On the banner at the top, tap Turn off On-the-Go 👁 Image
.

Tip: When you exit On-the-Go, your camera defaults to off. To turn on your camera, tap Camera 👁 Camera
