Where can I find my Taiwan Government Unified Invoice (GUI)

When you purchase through Google Play in Taiwan (regardless from Google or developer), Google is required by law to charge 5% Value Added Tax (VAT) and send you an electronic invoice called a Government Uniform Invoice (GUI or eGUI). This requirement is specified in the “Time Limit for Issuing Sales Documentary Evidence” section of Taiwan’s “Value-added and Non-value-added Business Tax Act.”

The content of the invoice is regulated for all businesses.

After you make a purchase from a Google account, we'll send an email with your GUI invoice.

You can also find and download the GUI from your product account.

Important: If you transact with Google Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and give your Taiwan VAT ID, a GUI won't be issued.

In Taiwan, Google Store doesn't include 5% VAT on sales to domestic users. For Google Store transactions, Google Store doesn't offer a Taiwan GUI or eGUI.

How does the Taiwan GUI Lottery work

Each eGUI we send you includes a pre-assigned serial number that you can use to join in the GUI lottery.

To join, use the “Claiming Reward App” and the “E-Invoice platform” from the Taiwan Ministry of Finance to register your email address and sign up for lottery result notifications.

What if I cancel my purchase

If you cancel your purchase and your refund is approved, your GUI won’t be valid nor eligible for the lottery. (You may, however, continue to get a link to the GUI in your product account.)

We’ll issue you a sales allowance certificate (SAC) for the refunded amount. You can find and download SACs from your product account.
