Create a calling card

When you create a calling card, you can use it:

  • To personalize calls with a full-screen image.
  • For incoming calls when your phone is locked.
  • When you make an outgoing call.
  • As the contact photo or as a separate image.
  • Share your full screen image with other people.

Important: This feature requires:

  • Phone app with version 210 and up
  • Contacts app 4.73.27 and up
  • Google Play Services version 2025.42 and up

Set up your own calling card

Important: To set up your own calling card or find calling cards shared by others, on your device, sign into a Google Account with a verified phone number. Learn how to manage phone number verification on your device.

  1. On your Android device, open the Phone app πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Tap Settings πŸ‘ and then
    Calling card.
  3. Under β€œYour calling card,” tap Create.
  4. On the "Create your calling card" screen, tap Continue as (Your name).
    • You can pick a font and text color you like.
  5. Choose a photo for your calling card:
  6. Tap Next.
  7. On the "Preview your calling card" screen, review your card.
  8. To choose who can view your calling card, under β€œShow calling card to," you can select:
    • Only your contacts: This is selected by default. Both you and the recipient have each other saved as contacts.
    • Everyone you talk to: Only the recipient has saved you as a contact.
      • This ensures your image isn't shared with strangers.
  9. Tap Done.

If the call recipient sets up a calling card for you, the system displays their custom calling card instead of the one you created.

Set up Calling Card on your Pixel Watch

Important: This feature requires:

  • A Pixel Watch 2 or higher with
    • Phone by Google app with version 150 and up
    • Wear OS 4 and up
  • A Pixel phone with
    • Phone by Google app with version 210 and up
    • Android OS 14 and up

To use Calling Card on Pixel Watch:

  • A connection between the Pixel watch and the Pixel phone must exist. When you make calls, the Calling Card displays on the watch if its available on the connected phone.

Update your own calling card

  1. On your Android device, open the Phone app πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Tap Settings πŸ‘ and then
    Calling card πŸ‘ and then
    Your calling card.
  3. Update your calling card’s image, font, and text color.
  4. Tap Done.

Stop displaying your calling card to others

  1. On your Android device, open the Phone app πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Tap Settings πŸ‘ and then
    Calling card πŸ‘ and then
    Your calling card.
  3. Tap Remove πŸ‘ and then
    Confirm.

Create a contact calling card

  1. On your Android device, open the Phone app πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Tap Settings πŸ‘ and then
    Calling Card.
  3. Under β€œContact calling card,” tap Create.
    • When they call you, their calling card shows.

Set up a calling card for a contact

  1. On your Android device, open the Phone app πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Tap Get started.
  3. To the right of a contact name, tap Add calling card πŸ‘ Image
    .
    1. Choose a photo from your device:
    2. Tap Next πŸ‘ Image
      .
    3. To pick font and text color, tap Font πŸ‘ Image
      .
  4. Tap Done.
    • To use the calling card as the contact photo: Tap Adjust picture πŸ‘ and then
      Set as contact photo.
    • To keep the existing contact photo: Tap Skip.
  5. Tap Save.

Update a calling card for a contact

  1. On your Android device, open the Phone app πŸ‘ Image
    .
  2. Open a contact.
  3. Tap Edit πŸ‘ Image
    πŸ‘ and then
    Change πŸ‘ Image
    πŸ‘ and then
    Change calling card πŸ‘ Image
    .
    1. Choose a photo from your device:
    2. Tap Next πŸ‘ Image
      .
    3. To pick font and text color, tap Font πŸ‘ Image
      .
  4. Tap Done.
    • To use the calling card as the contact photo: Tap Adjust picture πŸ‘ and then
      Set as contact photo.
    • To keep the existing contact photo: Tap Skip.
  5. Tap Save.
