Duda: Set up your Google tag

You can measure behavioral data about your site with Google Ads and Google Analytics. Follow the steps in this article to set up a tag for your Google Ads or Google Analytics account. Learn more about how to Install your Google tag with a website builder or CMS.

Before you begin

You can integrate your Google tag with Duda for free. To set up integration, you’ll need a valid Google sign-in and an active Duda account.

The Google tag ID can map to multiple products like Analytics and Google Ads. If you’d like more customization, you can use the following information to set up additional integrations:

  • Google Analytics Property ID (G-)
  • Ads measurement ID (AW-)
  • Floodlight/DoubleClick Tracking ID (DC-)
  • Google Global Measurement ID (G-)
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM-)

How to set up Google tag on Duda

  1. Sign in to your .
  2. On the main menu, click Seo and settings.
  3. On the call-out menu, select “Google Tools”.
  4. Enter your Google tag ID into the “Google Analytics” box.
  5. After you’ve entered a valid Google tag ID, your changes will be saved automatically. Don’t add more than one Google tag to each page of your website.

Google tag gateway for advertisers on Duda

Google tag gateway for advertisers enables you to run your Google tags through your own website infrastructure. This feature is designed to help improve the performance of your campaigns and make the most of our AI-powered tools. It provides improved accuracy for conversion measurements, deeper insights about your campaigns, and added privacy by default.

Note: Google tag gateway for advertisers is not currently compatible with custom code implementations.

How Google tag gateway for advertisers works on Duda

With Google tag gateway for advertisers, all measurement data is routed through your own first-party website infrastructure, hosted on your . Duda does this via the web infrastructure that all Duda sites use automatically. To do this, Duda updates the routing settings on your behalf, without the need for you to make any configuration changes, free of charge. The Duda infrastructure acts as a proxy and forwards your measurement data to Google.

Duda offers the ability to deploy a Google tag with Google tag gateway for advertisers enabled via your Duda website’s infrastructure. This infrastructure sits between your website and Google's services. Google tag gateway for advertisers is enabled for all tag deployments following the steps listed above.

If you’ve already set up your Google tag ID in Duda following the steps above, no further action is needed to enable the Google tag gateway for advertisers feature.

To validate if your site currently uses Google tag gateway:

  1. Go to your Google tag settings in Google Tag Manager.
  2. Select the Google tag you implemented in your Duda site.
  3. Go to “Admin”.
  4. Scroll down to “Google tag gateway”, and locate the green label that states “Active”.
Note: If the label states “Inactive”, your setup was not successful. If the label states “Incomplete” it is likely that you run your tag on multiple domains. If possible, also adopt Google tag gateway on your other domains. To see the domains using your tag, click on the label, and check the individual status indicator in the user interface.
