Hide or unhide users from your channel
You can hide users and their associated accounts so that certain activity isn’t visible on your channel, including:
- Comments
- Live Chats
- Community posts
Hidden users and their associated accounts also can’t .
Keep in mind:
- If you hide someone, they aren’t notified.
- Past activity from associated accounts isn’t hidden.
- Past comments from hidden users won’t show on your Comments page in YouTube Studio.
Hide a user
To hide someone from your channel:
- Sign in to YouTube.
- Find a comment that they’ve left on your channel or video.
- Next to the comment, select More 👁 Image

Hide a user in YouTube Studio
To hide someone from your channel in YouTube Studio:
- Find the user's channel URL from their channel homepage.
- Go to YouTube Studio.
- From the left menu, select Settings 👁 Image
👁 and then
Community moderation 👁 and then
User management. - Under the “Automated Filters” section, paste the channel URL in the “Hidden users” box.
- Select Save.
Find users you’ve hidden
To view a list of users you’ve hidden:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- From the left menu, select Settings 👁 Image
👁 and then
Community moderation 👁 and then
User management. - Under the “Automated Filters” section, review users you’ve hidden in the “Hidden users” box.
Unhide a user
You can remove someone from your “Hidden users” list to show new comments they leave. To unhide a hidden user:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- From the left menu, select Settings 👁 Image
👁 and then
Community moderation 👁 and then
User management. - In the “Hidden users” box, find the user you'd like to show.
- Select Remove 👁 Image
next to their name. - Select Save.
