Transfer playlists from other music services

You can import playlists, albums, artists, and tracks from other music streaming services into your YouTube Music library.

Depending on your previous service, you can use built-in transfer options or third-party tools like TuneMyMusic or Soundiiz.

How to transfer playlists:

  1. Open the YouTube Music app.
  2. Tap your profile icon 👁 Image
    .
  3. Select Settings 👁 and then
    Privacy & data.
  4. Tap Transfer playlists from other apps.
  5. Tap Let's start and sign in to your external music service to grant access.
  6. Choose the playlists you want to import, then tap Transfer to YouTube Music.
  7. Sign in to your Google Account when prompted to authorize the transfer.

Once the transfer is complete, the playlists will appear in your YouTube Music library.

Note:
  • Your music stays on your original streaming service.
  • Future changes to your playlists on other services will not automatically sync to YouTube Music.
  • Larger libraries may take longer to process, but the transfer runs in the background. You do not need to keep the app or page open.
  • Some songs may not be available on YouTube Music. If using Soundiiz, you'll see a notification for any tracks that couldn't be matched.
  • Podcasts are not available to import or export with YouTube Music.
