Firefox keeps your privacy while navigating on the web, so you can have peace of mind while private browsing. You can use Biometric Authentication Methods like face recognition, your fingerprint, or PIN to lock the tabs on your private browsing mode.

Enable biometric authentication

To enable the biometric authentication on your private browsing, follow these steps.

  1. Open the Firefox browser on your device.
  2. Tap the mask icon ๐Ÿ‘ maskfirefox

  3. A pop-up will appear asking if you want to lock your private browsing; select Lock tabs.
Note: If you donโ€™t have a screen lock authentication method (face recognition, fingerprint, PIN), you will be prompted to set up Screen Lock in your deviceโ€™s settings.
