The screen lock feature allows you to make your phone more secure.

Setting the lock
- Tap 👁 settings icon
to open the Settings app. - Scroll down to Privacy & Security and tap Phone lockScreen lock.
- On the resulting screen you will have 2 options:
- Tap the button next to the option you want, or both to turn them on.
- Lock Screen - Provides no protection, allowing you to quickly access the homescreen.
- Passcode lock - Allows you to set a four-digit passcode, which protects your phone from intrusions.
- Tap 👁 Settings- 2.0 (small)
to open the Settings app. - Scroll down to Privacy & Security and tap Screen lock.
- On the resulting screen, tap the switch next to your desired option to enable it (the check mark means it's enabled 👁 fos enabled
):- Lock Screen - Provides no protection, allowing you to quickly access the homescreen.
- Passcode lock - Allows you to set a four-digit passcode, which protects your phone for unauthorized access.
Changing your Passcode
You can change your passcode as often as you want.
- To change your current passcode tap the Change Passcode button at the bottom of the lock settings panel.
- Enter your current passcode to authenticate that you are the owner of the device.
- Type in your new desired passcode.
- Tap the Change button when you are finished.
You can change your passcode as often as you want:
- Tap the Settings app 👁 Settings- 2.0 (small)
, then tap Screen lock. - Tap Change Passcode button.
- Enter your current passcode to prove that you are the owner of the device.
- Type in your new desired passcode, then Change when you are finished.
SIM PIN
You can also add a SIM PIN to prevent access to your SIM card. When enabled, any device containing the SIM card will request the SIM PIN upon restart.
- To set a SIM PIN, tap on 👁 settings icon
to go to the Settings app. - Swipe up to until your see the Privacy and Security section.
- Tap on SIM security.
- To set a SIM PIN, tap 👁 Settings- 2.0 (small)
to open your settings. - Tap SIM manager, and then SIM security.
- Tap the switch 👁 fos enabled
next to your desired SIM card. - Enter your desired PIN on the next screen, then tap Done.
