Badge FAQs
Every event will be clearly marked on the schedule as either All Badge with “P/I/F/M” icons or Platinum + Your badge type. You can filter the schedule for your badge type and easily find which events your badge unlocks.
Innovation, Film & TV, and Music Badges will no longer have secondary access to events outside their specific Conference or Festival. We did this to simplify lines and provide badgeholders from each of our communities with the best experience possible. You now have the option to build the experience that works for your needs, or upgrade to Platinum if you want to see it all.
We’re offering Music Wristbands as an add-on when you checkout for Innovation and Film & TV Badges if you’d like to see showcases.
For Innovation and Music Badges there will be select Film & TV screenings with limited General Admission tickets available for sale one week before SXSW. A Film & TV or Platinum Badge is the unparalleled way to attend screenings and get early and wide access to this part of the event.
Platinum and Innovation Badges have exclusive access to Innovation tracks. However, there are many sessions that are All Badge in addition to Keynotes and Featured sessions. These are clearly marked on the schedule as All Badge with “P/I/F/M” icons
If you already purchased an Innovation, Film & TV, or Music Badge and would like to upgrade to Platinum you can sign into your account on the SXSW Cart and go to your purchase history to upgrade. Rates do increase throughout the season, so if you’re considering upgrading, we recommend the earlier the better.
The Comedy Festival is accessible with Platinum, Innovation, Film & TV, or Music Badges. If you love live Comedy and are going to SXSW, check out the line up coming early 2026.
