Welcome to The Aviation Geek Club, your new stopover aviation place.

Launched in 2016 by Dario Leone, an Italian lifelong – aviation geek, this blog is the right place where you can share your passion and meet other aviation enthusiasts from all over the world.

Born in 1984, since his youth Dario Leone has always been interested in every kind of aeronautical subjects from die-cast models to books. After having written for several media outlets, his unique fascination with aircraft led him to launch his website.

Built from a true aviation geek for true aviation geeks, this blog is aimed to create a community of people who can read and talk about every aviation topic, from never told stories to latest news.

So, stop your messing around, sit down, read our posts and take off with us.

Dave “Bio” Baranek was an F-14 RIO and Topgun instructor. He retired from the Navy in 1999 and has written three books about his flying experiences. His latest book, Tomcat RIO, was published in 2020. His website is www.topgunbio.com.

Linda Sheffield Miller

Linda Sheffield co-author of Helion’s new book “Ohio to Supersonic: Flying the SR-71 to the Secret World of the Skunk Works,” Linda helped bring her father, SR-71 RSO, Col. Richard “Butch” Sheffield’s book to life. Linda grew up on Air Force bases primarily at Beale Air Force Base California. The home of the SR -71. Linda is a graduate of North Dakota State University and taught public school for over a decade as a substitute teacher. Linda writes daily about the SR -71 the A-12 and the U-2 on her various social media accounts. Linda lives in the suburbs of Washington DC with her husband Rodney Miller, they are the parents of three daughters and four grandsons. She is the co-founder of the SR-71 group, Habubrats. Linda has been asked to write articles for the Distinguished Flying Cross magazine, and the Evergreen Museum newsletter. Linda enthusiastically enjoys contributing articles weekly to The Aviation Geek Club.
