Matt Caplan

Matt Caplan is a nuclear physicist and professor at Illinois State University, and a visiting professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he is an affiliate of the program in Arms Control and Domestic and International Security (ACDIS). Caplan was a 2021 Next-Generation Fellow of the Physicists Coalition for Nuclear Threat Reduction. He is the creator and host of the Twelve Thousand Bombs podcast on NPR about nuclear weapons issues.
