Chenxi Wang, Ph.D.

Dr. Chenxi Wang is the Founder and General Partner of Rain Capital, a Silicon Valley-based venture fund investing in emergent technology solutions in Cyber, Infrastructure, and AI. Dr. Wang also serves on the Board of Directors for MDU Resources, a public critical infrastructure company. Chenxi also co-founded Forte Group, a women in tech advocacy non-profit. Previously, Chenxi held a number of executive positions at Twistlock, Intel, and Forrester Research and as Vice-Chair on the global board of directors for the OWASP Foundation. Chenxi received the 2023 Women in AI award by Venturebeat, and was named by Fortune as one of the Top Cyber Investors in the world. She was recognized as Women-of-Influence by SC Magazine, and by Cyber Risk Alliance as Women Investor of the Year. Chenxi began her career as a faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University and she holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia.
