Welcome to FFA Training Portal
The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) is dedicated to the comprehensive collection, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination of critical information concerning the region’s living marine resources, with a particular focus on highly migratory species. A core function of the Agency is to enhance the capacity of our Members to effectively interpret and apply this information within their specific national contexts.
The FFA training unit is committed to supporting Members in achieving their fisheries management and development aspirations. This is accomplished through the development and delivery of formal learning courses that lead to regionally recognised qualifications, providing clear learning and career pathway opportunities.
In response to the increasing responsibilities associated with the regional management of offshore fisheries, the FFA actively supports Members in building national and regional capacity. This support is delivered through expert advice, mentorship, competency-based training, and a range of online learning and development opportunities, all aligned with the FFA’s Strategic Plan Outcomes to ensure sustainable offshore fisheries and optimised economic and social benefits for member countries.
