ILCA is a Japanese video game developer founded by Takuya Iwasaki in 2010. Originally a CG video production company that mainly assisted and worked on short-form animated projects, such as Love Live! School Idol Project, Monster Strike The Animation and Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, the studio pivot at the end of the decade to work principally on video games: both as a support studio for the likes of Square Enix and Bandai Namco, as well as lead developer for a number of projects as well.
ILCA is currently best known for their contributions to the Pokémon franchise, being attached to the brand since 2020 and later establishing a joint subsidiary with The Pokémon Company called The Pokémon Works in 2024 to help facilitate these endeavors. Similarly, ILCA and Bandai Namco established the subsidiary Bandai Namco Aces in 2022 to develop entries in the Ace Combat series.
