Idea Factory is a Japanese video game developer and publisher, founded on October 26, 1994 by former employees of Data East and Studio Dub animator Yoshiteru Satou. Its subsidiaries are Compile Heart, Design Factory, and Otomate.

A Western branch, Idea Factory International, was opened in the United States of America in September 2013. This branch is primarily meant as a central hub for marketing and discussing its titles outside of Japan, even those that are not yet localized. However, they started localizing titles by themselves of their subsidiaries that other publishers declined to release as of May 2014. They have also dabbled in PC ports (via Steam), starting with the three Hyperdimension Neptunia: Re;Birth games and Fairy Fencer F, as well as Xbox consoles starting with Neptunia: Sisters vs Sisters.
