"You want to do as many different genres as you can and that's what I've been doing. I've done movies with the Muppets. I did Sinatra. I did good guys and bad guys. I did a movie with an elephant. I decided that I was here to try different parts and do different things. That's what it’s really all about. That's what a career should be."

Raymond Allen Liotta (December 18, 1954 β€” May 26, 2022) was an American actor, film producer, and voice actor. He was known for a wide array of roles ranging from Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams to a psychopathic cop in Unlawful Entry to a talking bee. His plummest role may have been as real life mobster Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese's GoodFellas. Gamers may recognize him as the legendary Tommy Vercetti from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Liotta passed away in his sleep in the Dominican Republic on May 26, 2022, at age 67. He was filming for a new motion picture, Dangerous Waters, at the time. Less than a year later, an autopsy revealed that the cause of his death was a combination of respiratory insufficiency, pulmonary edema, and heart failure. The film Nineteen Ninety Two features his final onscreen performance and is dedicated to his memory.
