Not to be confused with the National Lampoon film of the same name.
This film contains examples of:
- Big Applesauce: The film starts in New York.
- Big Sister Instinct: Corrine towards Erin.Corrine: [to Garrett] Don't break [Erin's] heart, okay? Or I'll cut your balls off. I'm not fucking kidding.
- Children Are Innocent: Maya, who asks if her mother is okay when she hears screaming (due to her aunt and her boyfriend walking on her parents dry-humping). Of course, everyone tries to save her innocence by refraining her to see that view.
- I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: When Erin is torn between her dream job and moving to New York to be with Garret, Garrett breaks up with her so she can pursue her career without any regrets.
- Implausible Deniability: When Erin and Garrett walk in on Corrine and Phil dry humping:Garrett: Were you guys... are you dry humping?Phil: [who's clearly on top of Corrine with his clothes on] ... no.
- Interrupted Intimacy: Many, many times. From Dan DJ'ing Erin and Garrett's first hook-up, to her sister walking in on them having sex on her dinner table... and her husband eating a midnight snack, to them walking in on Erin's sister and brother-in-law dry-humping.
- Maybe Ever After: The movie ends with Erin and Garrett giving a second chance to their relationship.
- Neat Freak: Poor Corrine, who cleans her kitchen table about a hundred times after seeing her sister and Garrett have sex on it. No matter how many times she cleans it, she'll always see it as filthy.
