Half bird, Half man, God Knows how it happened!!!
Ravenstein is a 2020 horror film by Rusalka Pictures, starring James McClusky and Nik Kaneti-Dimmer.The film's plot centers around two urban explorers who go exploring and stumble upon the nest of a giant killer birdman.
This film has the examples of:
- Absurdly Ineffective Barricade: David locking the toilet door behind him to stop the bird man and nailing flimsy plywood at the window, only for the bird to break it seconds later
- Affably Evil: Jack's gruff voice
- Affectionate Parody: Of Universal Horror, styled to be a modern day Universal horror film.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: The one-sided fight between the birdman and Marky
- Expanded Universe: A birdman is mentioned in Film/Attack Of The Astroharvesters
- Genre-Busting: It's a B-movie monster horror flick with the overtones of a Slasher horror
- Gut Feeling: Marky doesn't want to explore
- Gypsy Curse: Jack tells the story of a Gypsy curse, HIS gypsy curse
- Iconic Outfit: The iconic look of the Ravenstein.
- Let's Split Up, Gang!: Marky and David split up, this does not end well for them.
- Lovable Coward: Marky is a perfect example of this type.
- Magic Pants: It's also more like magic outfit!
- Not Named in Opening Credits: The opening credits don't mention Chris Wilson playing the The Monster as being played by "?". The closing credits then do have his name alongside the character.
- Oh, Crap!: Oh SĀ£$%
- Say My Name: Jack!!!
- Transformation Sequence: A focus on Jack's hands as they turn into the birdman's.
- You Have to Believe Me!:Poor Marky spends a good bit of the movie trying to convince David that he's seeing the monster.
