She can teach you Japanese.

Lalisa Manobalnote (also spelled and pronounced closer to "Manoban"; emphasis on the second syllable) (Thai: ลลิษา มโนบาล, born Pranpriya Manobal, March 27, 1997), known professionally as Lisa (Thai: ลิซ่า, Korean: 리사), is a Thai singer and rapper best known for being a member of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK. In September 2021, Lisa became the third Blackpink member to have a solo debut (after Jennie Kim in 2018 and Rosé in March 2021). She released the single album Lalisa, with the single Money.

Lisa's first solo full album, Alter Ego, was released on February 28, 2025, showcasing five different personalities. She has also gone viral for her appearance as a strict dance teacher on Youth With You Season 2 and made her acting debut as Mook in Season 3 of The White Lotus.

Not to be confused with LiSA (Japan).

Filmography:

Trope some money, tropin' all my money:

  • Album Title Drop: "Thunder" from her album Alter Ego.
    "Careful how you move though
    Might meet my alter ego"
  • Alter-Ego Acting: Alter Ego showcases five different personalities👁 Image
of Lisa: Roxi, Sunni, Kiki, Speedi, and Vixi.
  • Alternate Album Cover: The physical versions for Alter Ego have a cover for each of Lisa's alter egos.
  • Boastful Rap: Many of her raps, such as in "Lalisa"
"You cannot see me, even though I show you all my ways
From Thailand to Korea, and now here, went for the throat
Being the greatest of all time ain't fantasy (No)
Jet black and pink crown belongs to we (BLACKPINK!)
Lalisa, Lalisa, Lalisa, I am standing above the sky
Lalisa, Lalisa, Lalisa, they want me
Lalisa, Lalisa, Lalisa, catch me if you can
    Lalisa, Lalisa, Lalisa, Lalisa, Lalisa"
    (English translation👁 Image
    )
  • B-Side: "Money" was initially released as the B-side to "Lalisa" but eventually managed to displace it to the point of being released as a single two months later and quickly getting a Performance Video.
  • Character Signature Song: Lisa has a song for each of her alter egos: "Rockstar" for Roxi, "Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)" for Sunni, "New Woman" for Kiki, "Lifestyle" for Speedi, and "Fxck Up the World" for Vixi.
  • Christmas Songs: "Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)" has a Christmas remix.
  • Dictionary Opening: "Born Again" makes its own definition for the phrase.
"The transformation into a New Woman who embraces her freedom to become the person she desires to be."
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Her debut solo single is in Korean. Subsequent solo releases are mainly in English, including her features in DJ Snake's part-Spanish "SG" and Taeyang's mostly Korean "Shoong!".
  • Everyone Looks Sexier if French: "Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)" is about being attracted to a green-eyed French boy.
  • Gold Tooth of Wealth: "Rockstar".
"Gold teeth sitting on the dash, she a rockstar"
  • Gratuitous Japanese: "Rockstar" has Lisa boasting about being good at Japanese.
"'Lisa, can you teach me Japanese?' I say hai, hai [yes, yes]"
  • Hotter and Sexier: Lisa was mainly The Cutie in Blackpink (more so pre-Square Up, before the group went Darker and Edgier), but her solo work has more prominent fanservice. She even does some pole-dancing in the "Lalisa" MV.
  • Longest Song Goes Last: "Dream" (3:43) is the only song on the standard edition of Alter Ego to exceed three minutes.
  • Love Is Like Religion: The oddly suggestive "Born Again".
"If you tried just a little more times
    I would've made you a believer
Would've showed you what it's like (Like)
    Every single night
    To be born again, baby
    To be born again
If you stayed just another few nights
I could've made you pray to Jesus
Would've showed you to the light (To the light)
    Every single night (Every night)
    To be born again, baby
    To be born again"
  • Money Song: "Money" has Lisa boasting about her riches.
  • Multilingual Song:
    • "Lalisa", her only Korean song, naturally also has some English in it.
    • "New Woman" has a lengthy Spanish breakdown from Rosalía.
  • Rock-Star Song: "Rockstar" is a Boastful Rap of Lisa dubbing herself a rock star who lives for the thrill and can make you rock hard.
  • Special Guest: Alter Ego features Doja Cat and Raye on "Born Again", Rosalía on "New Woman", Future on "Fxck Up the World", Megan Thee Stallion on "Rapunzel", and Tyla on "When I'm With You". Three of these features are exclusive to the digital version.
  • Stage Names: Lalisa Manobal is officially known simply as "Lisa" (though she's credited under her full name for her acting). The "Manobal" in the page name is to distinguish her from the Japanese singer and the American video game series.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: All of Lisa's alter egos have a designated snack and drink: Roxi has ghost pepper chips and energy drinks, Sunni has sun chips and banana milk, Kiki has cupcakes and cherry Slurpee, Speedi has mint gum and espresso, and Vixi has black licorice and your tears.
