So I said I'm on the roam so I need a car
And I know that I'm getting alive
And I say I got faith and a season
And I say that's where I'm going to
I get a need and I'm wanting to please it
I gotta face and I'm wanting to feel it
The more I feel is the more that I need it
The more I need is the less I believe it
"Hundred Mile High City"

Roll a number, write another song like Jimmy heard the day he caught the tropes:

  • Face on the Cover: Their albums tend to have pictures of them on the cover, such as Mosely Shoals, which show them in front of the Leamington Spa.
  • In the Style of: "The Riverboat Song" was influenced by Led Zeppelin, "Four Sticks" to be precise.
  • The Midlands: They hail from Birmingham.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: "The Day We Caught the Train", a very upbeat song about going on the train.
  • Shout-Out: "The Day We Caught the Train" mentions a line about "another song Jimmy heard", a reference to Quadrophenia. The same song also mentions "Walking like Groucho".
  • The Something Song: "The Riverboat Song".
  • Train Song: "The Day We Caught the Train".
Stepping through the door like a troubadour
    Whiling just an hour away
Looking at the trees on the roadside
    Feeling it's a holiday
You and I should ride the coast
  • Uncommon Time: "The Riverboat Song" is in 6/4.

Saturday afternoon, the sunshine pours like wine
Through your window
And I know golden June can turn an empty gray
Against your window
And I feel like
I'm on the outside
Of the circle
