"Outta my way, freaks!"

Released during the early days of the internet (about 2000 or so), Glue was a (very obscure) Adobe Flash cartoon created by David Fremont and published by W!ldBrain Entertainment. It had ran for 25 episodes, which can be split into 3 different arcs:

  • Episodes 1-13 (Pool Party arc): The town prepares for a pool party hosted by their resident Cranky Neighbor Pummit and his pool float Shultzy.
  • Episodes 16-21 (Invisible Arther arc): Arther learns how to separate his soul from his body and uses his newfangled powers to eavesdrop on his neighbors.
  • Episodes 17-25 (Concert arc): Skim and Flauta find themselves in the middle of the "Day on the Dirt", a music festival for college aged frat boys.

Hello Arther, howz yer tropes?

  • Admiring the Poster: In episode 6, Trixie and Snailbody swoon over a poster of Ponch masturbating and use it as the background for their stage.
  • Aerith and Bob: On the normal side, we have names such as Trixie, Arther, and Mitch. On the other hand, there's names such as Pipe, Pummit, Ponch, and Gooner.
  • Alliterative Title: A few episodes, including "Granny Ghost" and "Nougat Goes Nutzoid".
  • All Trolls Are Different: Episode 6 introduces JoeAnn, a transgender troll with a unicorn horn and the ability to breathe fire.
  • Animal Mecha: In episode 5, Gooner creates a miniature owl robot which he dubs "Robert".
  • As Himself: King Bootles the dog is credited like this during the opening sequence.
  • Asshole Victim: When Pummit and Shultzy attempt to curse everyone who attended their pool party, they get covered in a vat of boiling hot oil.
  • Companion Cube: Pummit's only friend is an anthropomorphic pool float named Shultzy.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome:
    • Most of the characters that make recurring appearances during the pool party arc (i.e., Pipe, Weegi, Pummit and Shultzy) disappear during the concert arc.
    • O'Hanrahan (a bear-like character who works for Arther's steam cleaning company) and Mrs. Ratneck (a lady with a creepy obsession with Arther) only appear in once episode (episodes 9 and 16, respectively) and never again.
  • Edible Ammunition: Ponch has a bag of freeze dried tangerines which he chucks at unsuspecting passersby.
  • Electrified Bathtub: According to Pipe, Granny was killed while trying to toast something and taking a shower at the same time.
  • Extremely Short Timespan: Episodes 4 to 13 take place on the same day, that being the day of a pool party.
  • Hollywood Voodoo: Pummit and Shultzy try to curse the attendants of their pool party by using voodoo dolls made out of oil.
  • Klatchian Coffee: In episode 7, Weegi becomes a hyperactive, jittering ball of chaos after drinking some coffee. Though, considering he drank an entire bathtub's worth of lattes, its possible the sheer amount of caffeine he drank was responsible.
  • Like Father, Unlike Son: Donald Munyon (a strict by-the-book police officer) heavily contrasts his son Ponch (a crass Lazy Bum with a love for drag racing).
  • Losing Your Head: In episode 1, Arther mentions how he once accidentally sheared his head off while talking to his friend Pipe. Later, in episode 9, he loses his head again while steam cleaning.
  • Mad Artist: Fred Nougat is a professional musician who has been implied to have had sex with his guitar, and uses said guitar to fire flaming arrows at concertgoers.
  • Multi-Part Episode: Episodes 18 and 19 (both titled "Dinner at the Munyons") involve Arther spying on the Munyon family having dinner while learning just how messed up their dynamic is.
  • Rotating Protagonist: Each episode stars a different group of characters. For example, episode 1 stars Pipe and Arther, while episode 2 stars Mrs. Fobe and her dog King Bootles.
  • Rule of Pool: During the pool party in episode 10, Weegi crashes Ponch's dragster into Pummit's pool during a caffeine-fueled high.
  • 👁 This example contains a TRIVIA entry. It should be moved to the TRIVIA tab.
Short-Runners: Only 25 episodes of the show were made, each of which only last around 2-4 minutes.
  • Stalker Shrine: Mrs. Ratneck has one dedicated to her neighbor Arther, and contains various things stolen from him, like a half-eaten sandwich and one of his socks).
  • Stereotypical Nerd: Gooner. He wears Braces of Orthodontic Overkill, Nerd Glasses, has a nasally voice, and has various typical "nerdy" hobbies such as inventing, outer space (if his astronaut outfit is anything to go by), and high fantasy roleplaying games.
  • Toothy Bird: Carlos, the Annoying Little Bird Who Rides a Steamroller, has a pair of little buckteeth.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: For Skim, his favorite food is pink popcorn.
  • Trans Equals Hypersexual: Based on their (very limited) time onscreen, JoeAnn fits this trope. Aside from their very revealing clothing, this is best evidenced with how determined they were to get with Ponch (who, only a few seconds before, threatened to beat them and their band up for owning a poster of him pleasuring himself).
