Function as the democratic link between institutions and peoples of the French-speaking world; further the influence of the French language; contribute to the development and reciprocal understanding of cultures and civilizations of peoples habitually using the French language although not of French culture or civilization; promote cooperation and reinforce solidarity within the French-speaking community, respecting the right to development; promote democracy, the rule of law and individual rights, particularly within the French-speaking community; manage all issues of interest to the Parliamentary Assembly, particularly those related to current international politics, and transmit relevant information to authorities of the French-speaking world.
