Very good and well organised but too expensive for what it was

Arin and the entire team was wonderful with their communication. They made our trip seamless.

This is our third trip organised with Black Tomato and from the original conversation of what we were looking for on our first trip to Mexico and the final itinerary was excellent, the hotels we were recommended were exceptional and the private tours they organised were perfect.. we will definitely be using them again.

Black Tomato planned a detailed and seamless trip for our family of four. We are a difficult group with considerable dietary issues, complicated for a trip to Japan, and they went beyond the extra mile to help. The on the ground team was terrific and flexible. We would definitely use BT for our next adventure!

This was our third trip with Black Tomato and, while the other two were amazing, this one was the best. We spent a month in Japan and Black Tomato accommodated all of our wishes and needs without missing a beat. Given a list of places we wanted to visit, including several WAY off the beaten track, they arranged seamless transport between them that allowed us to relax and get the most out of our trip. The guides we had were fantastic -- a perfect mix of knowledgeable, personable and professional. By the end of each tour, we felt like we had a new friend or family member. The suggestions BT provided for us when creating our itinerary were spot on -- avoiding the overrated places and focusing on the places and experiences that will last a lifetime in our memories. The "on the ground" support we got was fantastic -- we simply texted and received immediate help as needed. There are definitely less expensive ways to travel but the value Black Tomato provides- giving you access to priceless experiences, people and places is more than worth it to us. We can't wait to plan our next trip with them.

First class trip from start to finish for our Honeymoon. From the planning to the actual trip itself, it was a great experience. Everything was taken care of and there were even a few surprises added to our plan. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was seamless and easy. We had a great experience in Italy and had several adventures that I'm not sure we could have figured out on our own. Well worth the investment.

Our first time using Black Tomato (BT). Celebrating a 40th wedding anniversary in a luxury manner was on the agenda. With the excellent support of BT staff (Jenni Thal, Shivani Marek, & Ettanya Teo), we crafted an "Eat Your Way Across Italy" eight-day trip that covered several regions and cities (Piemonte, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Milan, Alba, Bologna, Parma, Modena, Ravenna).

The luxury limos and drivers were first-rate and provided additional learning moments about Italy and the regions we visited. Every driver was on time and we felt like we'd known them for years! All of the places we stayed at were hallmarks of luxury, comfort, service, and attentive staff (Villa d'Amelia, Corona d'Oro, Sina de La Ville). Each hotel gave us additional, thoughtful welcomes including wines, chocolates, and other Italian treats. Very nice touch, especially after a day of travel. Every excursion was a massive cultural learning experience with 5-star guides. This included the food producer sites we visited (Culatello Museum, Parmigiana Reggiano, and Balsamic). If we can remember 10% of what they shared with us, we'd be writing a book about Italy! The BT staff also gave us great tips on restaurants when we were on our own.

All of the BT online information, the customized itinerary, and all of the information we needed were easy to find, use, and enjoy. The Italyscape team partner also did a great job responding to our few questions while in Italy. Have to say, we are now officially spoiled for customized luxury travel. Great job BT! It's also important to note that BT does an excellent job gathering feedback and responding to suggestions based on your trip experience. Hallmark of continuous improvement.

Didn't get the opportunity to book travel the consultant said, 'don't travel to Egypt during Ramadan". She stated that the "guides will be more sensitive because of fasting" and it more of "family time and they are not as welcoming to foreigners" (yes, that word was used?!). Phone consult last 4 minutes and that was the end of our experience with Black Tomato. The whole interaction was quite sad that the idea of exposing a 'foreigner' to something unique and different should be avoided.

Our family holiday to Norway was first class. The execution exceeded our expectations and the brief was met perfectly. From a short stay in Oslo to the Lofoten Islands in the Arctic Circle, and then down the West Coast to Bergen we hiked, kayaked, fished, swam, cycled, ate and drank well and stayed at some memorable boutique accommodation. The on-ground partner was awesome. All round excellent experience

Decided to choose Black Tomato for my trip to Japan and I'm overall very happy with my decision. The whole process was easy with my travel expert, Michael Calvert. I appreciate the opportunities for suggestions as the trip went on as they very much catered to what I wanted to experience. Every guide I met was knowledgeable about the country and culture of Japan. I'd definitely choose Black Tomato again for future travels.

Black Tomato created a seamless adventure for us on New Zealand's South Island, including finding us some very special places we otherwise would not have known about. Ian, our BT contact, was incredibly well-informed and engaging -- a pleasure to plan with. Rob, our main contact in NZ was interesting, engaging and a pleasure to work with. Ian from London put together our dream trip to southern Australia. While I’d like to think we’ve been savvy travel planners for many years, we felt the need for expert assistance with a custom luxury trip to down under. Ian with Black Tomato (of which we’d read many favorable reviews) more than met our expectations. Travel arrangements were seamless, lodging and locations were superb, local guides were timely, informative and engaging. When we need help with any future boutique travel planning we’ll check first with BT!

We used Black Tomato for their specialized travel knowledge, and they designed a trip for us that was fun, relaxing, interesting, and luxurious. They personalized our itinerary and took care of all travel and touring. We had private drivers and guides everywhere, and had great service all around at hotels and excursions. Most importantly, we didn't have to do any planning or stressing and were able to unwind and enjoy our honeymoon!
