The ISW Geospatial Intelligence Team produces ISW’s world famous maps, working with every analytic portfolio at ISW. The Geospatial Team collects, processes, enriches, and assesses unclassified geospatial data, including data with spatial attributes and data collected by airborne and spaceborne platforms such as satellite imagery.

OVERVIEW
Most warfighting occurs on and near the surface of the Earth, and geospatial intelligence helps assess and forecast where armed forces can move and fight and how war affects populations. The Geospatial Intelligence team’s innovative work supports all ISW’s analytic portfolios. The team makes interactive and static maps, web tools, and other intelligence products to communicate complex and granular information to ISW’s audiences.
