Diana Nasreddine is a Russia Researcher on the Russia and Ukraine portfolio at the Institute for the Study of War. Before joining ISW, she focused on Russian foreign policy and the Kremlin’s influence operations across the post-Soviet space. Her research on Russian autocracy promotion and democratic backsliding culminated in a senior thesis selected for presentation at the 2024 Southern Conference on Slavic Studies.

Diana previously worked as a research assistant in Stetson University’s Political Science Department and at the Wilson Center. She also interned with the US Naval Academy, contributing to projects on civil society repression, media freedom, and authoritarian governance. Her expertise includes qualitative research and Russian-language document coding, supported by native-level Russian proficiency and experience as a Russian language teaching assistant at Stetson University. Diana holds dual B.A. degrees in Political Science and Russian, Eurasian, and Eastern European Studies from Stetson University.
