Jessica Sobieski is a Russia Researcher on the Russia and Ukraine portfolio at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Prior to joining ISW, she interned at the Russia Studies program at the Council on Foreign Relations, the Conflict Resolution Program at the Carter Center, and the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. The State Departmentβs Bureau of International Law and Narcotics selected her as the North American Youth Representative to the United Nations Conference Against Corruption COSP10, where she discussed corruption prevention in international humanitarian aid payments. Her research interests include illicit flows, sanctions evasion, and transnational crime organizations.
Jessica graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in International Affairs and Russian, where she was a member of the Russian Flagship Program.
