Quinn Johnson is a Program Manager with the Office of the President at the Institute for the Study of War. Previously, he was a Project Associate with the Chemical Security Program at CRDF Global, where he implemented security and capacity-building programs for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction. He was responsible for the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events in more than a dozen countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, the MENA region, and Asia for audiences representing academia, the private sector, and foreign governments.

Quinn brings a strong background in project management and a deep understanding of international security issues to ISW. He is experienced in conceptualizing and delivering high-impact security-focused programming and building global partnerships. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and has published research on terrorism and insurgency in Nigeria.

Quinn received his B.A. from Western Washington University, where he majored in Political Science with a minor in International Studies and studied abroad in Florianópolis, Brazil. He is an alumni of the Hudson Institute’s Political Studies Fellowship and Policy Certificate Programs.
