ishottheking @ 4:22pm: Anyone going to the gay pride festival tomorrow? I've got no one to go with, as of right now, so if anyone would want to meet up for a bit sometime during the day, let me know. Or you know, if you see a girl wearing a Kelkian t-shirt, just yell out "nipple cupcakes" ;) X-posted, so sorry if you're seeing this multiple times! 22nd May 2009

ginagershon @ 5:21pm: Short notice, but if you don't have plans tonight and want to see a good show, come to Brewskies in Ogden and see The Debi Graham Band play. They go on around 9. They'll also be playing at the Gay Pride Fest on the 7th of June, for those of you who will be going to that! :) x-posted to 👁 Image slclj 21st April 2009

tcnjournalist @ 10:20pm: Civil Unions and Gay Marriage in Utah I'm a student journalist doing research about civil unions and gay marriage in Utah. I would really appreciate it if you filled out a brief survey about the subject. It is completely anonymous and will only be used for my reserach project. Please only fill out of the survey if you are or have been a resident of Utah. The link is: Thanks so much! 9th April 20098th April 2009

ginagershon @ 11:50am: Is anyone participating in this: http://www.samesexkissday.org I'm thinking of going to the Starbucks that's close by (Riverdale), even though I don't like coffee, with a friend of mine at either 5:15 or 8:15... This is x-posted to a few different communities, so my apologies if you see this a few times! 12th January 2009

zas @ 10:13pm: (!!kind of a last minute opportunity notification!!) The first two Repo! Road Tours completely sold out . . . Hopefully Utah doesn't end up looking weak in comparison! There's an incredible amount of talent who have worked behind(and not so behind) the music of this film, ranging from people involved with Bauhaus to Busta Rhymes to Rasputina to Slipknot to Poe to X-Japan. Buffy fans, Sarah Brightman fans, Skinny Puppy fans, Paris Hilton fans, gore fans, darkwave fans, and many more may find something to appreciate. :) Even if it's not for you, be sure to spread the word to anyone else you know who may be interested! Um, as I'm crossposting this, I am, of course, reading all the community info pages . . . Most seem happy about events. I'm not sure about this community- Big apologies if it's inappropriate! I'm just trying to get some more alternative people out and about who may also be interested in this. :) 20th December 2008

ginagershon @ 12:46pm: Hi, everyone. I know this place is pretty slow-moving and I'm not sure how many people will see this, but whatever. I'm wondering if any of you are planning on going to the Sundance Film Festival next month (15th - 25th). I know that the Queer Lounge will be open again and it's usually a fun place to hang out during the day. If anyone is going and would like to meet up and hang out, let me know! I'll be going for the first four or five days with a couple friends. 13th November 2008

bravenewnick @ 4:07pm: Hello. I just created this LJ, and was looking to meet some new friends and whatnot in the glbt community here in salt lake, or in utah in general. I've lived here all my life, and have known about my sexuality for years now, but haven't gotten to get into the community much at all, aside from..say..visiting the pride center or going to the pride festival. Anywho, feel free to add me if you wish, I'm friendly, I promise. 24th December 200725th July 2007
benni_shamoe @ 12:41pm: Hello?
Just wondering if everyone is still alive and well! haha, this community really needs to get its pulse going.... 12th July 2007
benni_shamoe @ 10:57am: New Here
Let me just hope that this community is still alive and gets visits once in a while. I basically have been in utah for one year now, and honestly, it drives me mad. Coming from a big city where there are tall buildings, where the social life doesnt die till 5 am in the morning, and then they day begings at 7 am, cars all over, honking, clubs and bars at eyery corner, and most importantly, the gay scene is big as ever. I just recently created this account (was referred by a friend), and its been fun, loving every moment of LJ. I live in logan, which basically makes my stay in utah worse, as the gay scene here in logan isnt all that much, and you dont find many guys. Most of them are even moving to SLC. The only way i have met guys here in utah is on sites such as manhunt.net, etc, which really isnt my idea of meeting people, but i was told it is the only way in utah. I hope to meet some guys here i can make friends with, seeing how empty and quiet logan is. Current Mood: 👁 Image

thesevenwords @ 2:14pm: Wow, its been dead here. I'm sorta just coming out, so I don't know too much about the gay community in utah, soo.. yeah. Anyways, I am planning to go to Pride for the first time this year, and can't seem to get much good information on it right now. Does anyone know where/when it is? I'm sure this has been asked before, but I was wondering if anybody could refer me to or tell me about any places that are 'gay friendly' that a high school student could go to to meet other people? Not really looking for a support place, but more of a place to meet new people. I suppose I could meet some people here too, of course, since this is a glbt community. If anybody cares to ddrop me a line, my email is komradery@gmail.com Thanks 1st March 2007

arc_en_ciel_ @ 12:54pm: My best friend and I are traveling to Salt Lake next weekend from Reno, we're driving and I was just curious as to how gay-friendly it is there.. what are good things to do, where are the hang outs? Restaurants, that are good? It doesn't all have to do with gay ness. I was just curious. We are coming for like 4 days and she has a friend she is meeting up with it'd be cool if I did too! If anyone wants to meet up and show me around, I wouldn't mind so much =]] Just let me knowww Current Mood: 👁 Image

sainterre @ 8:47pm: A bit of a request.... I'm a student at Timpview High School in Provo, and I'm doing a research paper on the legalization of LGBT adoption. I'm looking for an expert in the field that I could conduct an interview with. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be infinitely grateful. (Or, if anyone can share some interesting studies/reports/whatever concerning my topic, I'd be just as grateful.) Thank you in advance. :] 24th January 2007

b_n_c_3 @ 10:49pm: seeking pride info Hey everyone! My name is Brandon. I'm an 18 year old boi (pre surgery, pre hormones, pre almost everything) originally from Connecticut. I've been living in Utah for almost two years now and I just got an apartment in SLC, but I don't know where to go that's... "gay friendly", if you will. I've gotten shunned a few too many times and I was wondering when pride comes around and whatnot. I'd appreciate any information anyone can give me. Thanks a bunch! Brandon Current Mood: 👁 Image
