Kos is een van de eilanden van griekenland in de Dodekanesos. Dit gebied behoort tot de periferie Zuid-Egeïsche Eilanden. Het is een Grieks eiland in de Egeïsche Zee. Kos heeft ongeveer 25.000 inwoners en een oppervlakte van 290 km². De hoofdstad van het eiland is Kos-stad. Er komen veel toeristen naar Kos. De meeste hier van zijn Nederlands. Kos heeft ook een vliegveld.

De Griekse arts Hippocrates (460 v. Christus) is hier geboren.
