Maduro's inauguration sparks demonstrations across South America
Despite complaints of electoral irregularities, Venezuela's National Electoral Council declared Maduro the winner. The United States and other governments have recognised Edmundo González Urrutia as Venezuela's president-elect instead. Even many of Maduro's former leftist allies in Latin America have skipped Friday's inauguration.
