ABOUTALBERTABOBSLEIGH

Alberta Bobsleigh Was Founded On January 21, 1983. The Association Currently Operates Its Winter Program Out Of Whistler Due To The Closure Of The Calgary Track. Athletes Have Taken Part In International Development And World Cup Races As Well As Local And Provincial Races.

During The Summer Months Alberta Bobsleigh Runs A Summer Training Program Out Of Calgary And Also Hosts An Annual Push Competition.

On Ice Bobsleigh Training Takes Place At The Whistler Sliding Centre From October To February, As Well As Other Tracks, And An Annual Drivers School Is Held In Conjunction With The British Columbia Program For Athletes To Learn To Pilot A Bobsleigh. Dryland Training Is Offered From June To March In Calgary, Spread Between Different Facilities In The City Including Winsport’s Ice House.

Who: Athletes from all sports and all backgrounds are welcome.
