My HUAWEI wearable device cannot receive message notifications
Your HUAWEI wearable device receives notifications via the Huawei Health app. More exactly, the app reads the messages from the notification panel of the phone and then pushes them to your watch/band.
The wearable appears connected on my phone, but disconnected in the Huawei Health app.
The pairing software of the wearable device is restricted by the phone's system, so Bluetooth disconnects if the Huawei Health is not allowed to run in the background.
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Learn more how customers reviews work on AmazonI love my watch, just for the battery, if nothing else. I often forget that it needs charging because it lasts so long, easily several days...! I love the GPS option as I do a bit of running outdoors. I also do a bit of walking and the GPS is great for keeping track, especially the track back option that enables you to go back the way you came if you lose your bearings. The activity tracking is very useful, and if you forget to set it, the watch asks you if you forgot after a couple or 3 minutes if activity; I've forgotten several times...! Lol. It's great as a watch, who would have thought, but it's a great all rounder. I do like the sleep tracker as it comes in handy as a general guide, but shouldn't be relied upon as an absolute; it's only a general guide. The stress tracker I use too, and quite frankly I find it to be a good indicator as to whether I need to rest my backside down & chill... Lol.
There are so many options in this watch, like tracking your run on a treadmill, and dozens of other activities, including walking, running, cycling, workouts, etc. As a fitness watch it's great...! It even reminds you to stretch if you've been inactive for some time, which makes me chuckle, and I do stretch from time to time...!
The watch faces are pretty cool, but I'm not too fussed about those, so haven't looked too much in to that.
If you want aftermarket apps then don't get this watch as they are limited. However, as I bought this specifically for exercising, it has a huge array of apps already built, so many so, I still have used or tried them all; more than I will ever need. And as for the exercise routines available; there are simply dozens & dozens to chose from.
Simply brilliant...!!!
Did lots of research, reading/watching reviews etc. before finally decided on the Huawei GT2 Pro.
It looks fantastic with the titanium body and makes the watch look truly premium and the ceramic back feels great on the wrist. However, I'm disappointed that a watch of this design quality comes with either a grey leather or black silicon strap and not the option for a matching metal bracelet. That said, I sourced a Spigen dark steel bracelet which perfectly compliments the titanium body and that makes the watch look awesome.
As this is my first smartwatch I don't have much to compare it against, however, for my fitness / personal requirements it's perfect. There are more than enough functions to track my health & fitness (I'm no Olympic wannabe), and it can let me choose from a huge selection of fitness activities. There are a myriad of other functions as well, some of which I may never need to use in anger, but are very 'comforting' to have on hand (like the compass etc). There is a music app with ~2Gb of storage for songs which is more than adequate for me. There have been complaints about the watch's inability to install 3rd party apps, but as the watch contains all the functions I need it's not an issue.
Customisation of the watch is straightforward and there's a good selection of watch faces available to choose from. The display itself is very sharp and vibrant with deep blacks and popping colour. Selection of functions using either buttons or touchscreen are responsive and I haven't noticed any lag in display / operation.
And of course there's the battery life... it absolutely smashes Apple and Wear OS. I've been putting mine through its paces for the past 9 days and the charge is still 50%! I haven't ramped everything up to the max, with every bell & whistle enabled, but I've got everything I need on. So for me the battery is excellent.
In conclusion, as an Android user, this watch just seemed head and shoulders above the others in terms of pure design, battery life and functionality. It looks amazing, does everything I need of it and lasts for ages. it's not the cheapest smartwatch, but the quality definitely makes it a decent investment.
So this is the second time I have bought this watch, why? because I should not have sold it it the first place.
I originally bought it in the sales after Christmas. I had researched it for a while and when the price came down I decided to invest in it.
It is a very stylish watch and looks like watch for all you traditionalist like me out there. Screen is the right size at 46mm and can be very bright and readable in direct sunlight, this is obviously dependent on the the watch face you choose. I need reading glasses but can easily read the date and time without them with this watch.
Ok for me the BIGGEST selling point for me is the battery life, I went on holiday for 7 days and did not take my watch charger with me and it still had 29% charge when I got home, and yes I’m always tinkering with the watch and also have the brightest setting so this is quite impressive. Measurements seem to be quite accurate, well let’s put it this way I have not noticed any difference from any other watches that I may have tried.
So why did I originally sell it? Well I have an iPhone and like Apple products but with the Apple Watch the battery does not last long enough to use all of its functions. I find myself charging it every night therefore it’s pointless having a sleep app. for example. Anyway I tried the Apple Watch but realistically until they can provide a battery that can last for a few days without charging then they can keep their expensive toy.
I do not get any rewards for my reviews so they are always honest. This watch is a very good alternative to the Apple Watch.
It does work very well with IOS.
I’ve had a Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 for a while but was increasingly frustrated by the very poor battery life (with just average use). I travel a lot for work and having to charge the watch every day while on the road was not practical often resulting in the watch being dead for a day or two. So, after research, the Huawei GT 2 Pro seemed like a good solution and I went ahead and bought one at a reduced price on Amazon.
So these are my thoughts in comparison to the Samsung Watch:
GOOD
Battery life - quite superb. This thing lasts for days. I’m not entirely sure it will last the advertised 14 days on a single charge but with average use across a 24 hour period (including health tracking, exercise etc) it loses only 13% battery which is way beyond what the Samsung is capable of.
Build - it’s a really lovely watch with a gorgeous amoled screen and very crisp visuals. The titanium body is very smart and it has much more elegance than the more tech-looking watches around (including the Samsung). I don’t miss the clever rotating bezel of the Samsung at all. Interaction is snappy and scrolling and input is snappy.
NOT SO GOOD
My only real issue with the GT 2 Pro is notifications. I have no issue not being able to respond to messages etc via the watch. To me that’s always been what my phone is for. But I had issues with the GT 2 Pro being able to differentiate between apps I was getting notifications from. It’s a small thing, and probably if you are using an on brand phone everything works fine, but I found the watch would give me a generic notification icon that was identical across all apps and not the actual app icon which isn’t great when you get a regular stream of notifications but can’t really differentiate what app they are from. It also couldn’t handle a wide variety of app notifications such as my banking app or Todoist as examples. With a bit of tweaking down to a very basic list of apps (Gmail, Telegram etc) it seems to have sorted itself out. But for a premium device that says it works across Android and iOS the handling of notifications feels a bit amateur and not in the same league as the Samsung watch.
Huawei Health App - I’ve found this app to be great as a health app. It records passive exercise as well as workouts really well. The GPS access can be a bit too slow though. Other health suite features such as stress and blood oxygen are great. But as an app to tweak watch settings it’s a bit clunky and there aren’t a lot of things you can really do. I also found it to lag a bit on opening the app.
Other than that it’s a great watch. Comfortable and good looking. As an overall package, for me (at the reduced price) it just outweighs the Samsung as my watch of choice, but with slightly compromised functionality that may be a result of using it with a Samsung phone (S21 Ultra).
I've had this watch for almost 2 years and have been very impressed by its general functionality, aesthetics and durability.
However, the primary reason for purchasing this watch, was to allow me track my swimming activities, which the adverts and quite a few recommendations pointed to as a great option. My experience with the watch as a swim tracker for only indoor swimming activity has been mixed, with an overall poor outcome.
Whilst the watch is quite good in tracking the actual swim distance and various strokes been used, I observed two key faults 3 months into using the watch:
1. It does not register the swim work out consistently. Once the work out is complete and I seek to stop the timer, the watch consistently deletes the entire work out session. Granted this does not take away the benefit of the workout, it is not effective in logging the workout on the app, which for me, defies the entire purpose of purchasing the watch. It has failed to log any swim work outs in the last 4-5months.
2. when swimming for longer than an hour, the tracking typically just disappears with no record of the work out. This happens during the swim without any interaction or interference with the device. I should note that this occurs only when I have been swimming for longer than an hour (anything from 62-66mins) and the tracking session always end without warning or apparent reason.
Whilst this is a great watch to own, I would not recommend it for anyone who is a dedicated swimmer seeking to utilise it primarily for that purpose.
I have not had issues with the other functions on the watch outside of swimming and I use the watch daily.

I was able to contact Haul customer care relatively easily and with little complications they provided me the solution to the issue. A hard reset seem to fix the issue and it has been 6months since, without a recurrence. To date the watch has been effective in every swim and so would revise some of my earlier views on the item..
This is my first ever smart watch and I'm happy with it, it tracks everything really well, from heart rate to sleep to steps so on and so on.
it's comfortable, I can happily just forget it's even there until I want to look at it so big pros in the comfort design.
design itself, elegent, that's the best way I could describe this watch, doesn't feel cheap and doesn't look cheap either, the screen is sapphire glass and let me tell you, it's incredible resilient, I've knocked and scraped this watch face on walls countless times and there isn't a single mark on it, brilliant!
Cons, big for some, little for others, this watch does not have NFC payments, you can't download 3rd party apps accept if you have a Huawei smartphone but even then your limited, there's no internet and the biggest for some might be that you can't reply to notifications or text from the watch, however you can make phone calls from the watch.
the app Huawei Health is all round good, I have no problems with it, it shows all of your exercise records and heart rates etc
GPS, the GPS is amazing on this watch, tracks where you are and you can see this when you finish the exercise, you can see where you've been, distance traveled, how fast you walked, ran or cycled etc, how many steps, the stride for each of your steps and how fast you averaged, also had a handy route back feature so if you ever find yourself lost you can find your way back easily with this feature.
all in all, this a simple elegant smart watch from Huawei and I have no regrets buying it and I use it everyday.

This watch really lasts 2 weeks for me, and it charges in a few hours from empty. This is my main selling point. I use it to track my sleep and my daily activities, and to set timers, and to find my phone (even when it's on silent), so pretty low key.
There are some added value apps, but don't expect much. This isn't Android, and developers don't bother much with a device that only has 32 MB (Mega Bytes) of RAM.
By default, you can't use it with Google Fit (but see next paragraph). The Huawei Health app in the Google Play store is out of date and Huawei's integration key has been invalidated. You will have to use the Huawei AppGallery store to get the latest version, and Huawei Health to store and manage your data.
But all is not lost. There's an app on Google Play that I use, doesn't cost the world, and synchronises Huawei Health with Google Fit. It's called "Health Sync" by appyhapps.nl. I'm not being paid to promote them.
If there's one point that I want to get across, it is this: great battery life, good functions, good price. I want my smart watch to monitor me day and night. All the other smartwatches out there, with their 1 day battery life, are useless for this purpose, as I end up keeping them in the charger more than I do on my wrist.
Felt compelled to review this, on Amazon the reviews seem to be almost to good to be true, with headlines like "this is unreal a true live changer with fantastic postage" turns out they are reviewing a wooden spoon or something. so a brief outline and something that I was looking for from reviews that would of confirmed that this was the purchase for me.
First thing is I wanted a nice watch, that was top of my list, and wow this is a beauty, up there with some of the more expensive "real" watches i own, the feel and look are something else. From my watch i dont want it to look like a toy, im not fussed about apps, or paying for things with my watch (i think thats important here) im also a Iphone user so keep that in mind as reviews state if you have a Huawei/android phone that opens it up even more, secondly i like stats, so steps/cycling/swimming all adding up to a nice weekly view of activity so i can then celebrate with a take away haha.
Out the box was a massive update (pretty standard) and a wireless charger, with a battery already on 80% I've turned everything on including the always on display, i was a little tentative with all the "tick this box so we can see what colour underwear you're wearing" but if we want to dance with the devil then i guess that's where we are, i doubt your buying this if privacy is a huge concern, it does say you can switch it all off, so that's up to the you.
Inside the watch you can do all kinds of sports, it tracks all sorts so it has an abundance of data for you with a nice addition of golf swing analysis, the thing I keep coming back to is the sleekness of the screen, the light transitioning brightness, and the gorgeous clock faces you can have pretty cosmetic i know but its so smooth.
As a IWatch user for nearly two years, moving away from that (especially as im still on the iPhone) was a leap but im so glad I have, i didn't use a lot of what the IWatch offered i felt it bloated a system whilst looking child like. So im hoping this review helps somebody who was like me, and i hope ive explained it well enough to help with your decision.

Bateria trzyma ok. 7-10 dni.
