Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Learn more how customers reviews work on AmazonThis is,s by a wide margin, the best iPad cover I have ever had; and like many of you, I got one the first year and continued replacement as it aged. Anyway, it is lighter than some rated "better for protection", but honestly, unless you're a bad carpenter that uses an iPad during you work, the protection with the ESR is fine, maybe even with a glancing blow from that carpenter. The stand is simple- yet works great! The most upright position is about 60-degrees (and some might possibly want an larger angle- but looking at it.... rarely if at all, really. There are 6 additional face angle, in equal gradations where the most angled position is about 10-degrees- really extreme. It remains in position solidly, yet can be changed with 2 fingers, or 1 hand with ease. Everything folds up, quickly, easily and solidly. An internal magnet prevents it from ever opening up unwanted or unexpected; they claim that the magnet can also be used to "hang the iPad on (non-SS) refrigerator doors; presumably for those YouTubing tunes on your iPad, and suddenly found yourself in the midst of sudden "munchies". Attach the iPad, open the door, grab the grub, back in business! And once it side, I truly have the sense that my new iPad Pro (M5) is truly safe and sound. The protection is fine. You'll see!
1,000% recommended.
I have this same case for every iPad in my house; the Pro, the regular iPad, and the Mini. I’ve tried many other cases over the years, both expensive and budget-friendly, and this one has been hands-down the best in terms of durability, functionality, and overall quality. It truly does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Had to buy the ESR to pair it with and that was also amazing.
The pictures honestly don’t do it justice. The cases are much prettier in person than they look in the ads or reviews. Another huge win for me is the Apple Pencil magnet. With every other case I’ve tried, the magnet wasn’t strong enough. This one has been the easiest and most reliable for charging my Pencil, and it fits perfectly back into the slot behind the case.
I also love that it’s not bulky or bigger than the iPad itself. Since I already have a large iPad, that was really important to me. The magnet feature is amazing, I can use it both horizontally and vertically, and the different viewing angles are super convenient.
I have the blue and the platinum colors, and both are absolutely beautiful. There’s honestly so much to love about this case. Highly recommend ESR for all cases and screen protectors. I have ESR also on my MacBook and iPhone screen protector.
This is a very well thought-out design and very well made product. Everything shown in the marketing video is spot-on. The dark camel color can pass for brown or a burnt gold. I feel the sturdiness of this case gives me the sense of security that it will not be easily broken if it falls. It was easy to pop my new iPad into the shell. The magnets are impressively strong and adhere the base case to the exterior folder in the exact position necessary. The only drawback I find is the overal weight of the product. When I compared the weight of my new iPad to my old one (Generation 3), the new one is significantly lighter. But, when adding it to this case, the weight is much more than I prefer. Still, for the powerful magnets necessary to keep everything exactly in place, I think the trade off of security vs weight is justified. I STRONGLY recommend this product.
I love everything about it. The color is perfect.
I can take the iPad off the cover and put it on my fridge. I don’t worry if it will fall. It’s perfect and easy to attach to the fridge. Doesn’t slide either which is amazing. The size of the iPad fits great in my bag. Not bulky. It’s very slim and it protects the iPad well! I even want other colors just to switch it up once in a while. The price is “high” but honestly it’s worth it you’re paying for a good quality case. It’s not sticky it like over cases that make you feel like a kid holding their iPad. lol I like it because it also looks professional. I can adjust it how ever I want when I’m in bed using the iPad, if it’s social media or a movie I can flip it around adjust it at my comfort level. You can compare this to anything else. This is the best case ever!

Love it. I had my eye on this iPad case for a long time. I finally got it because I needed the flexibility of using my iPad on my lap, or adjusting how tall or low it sits. You can also detach your iPad with the just the case only, I like that feature. It’s really sleek, a tad bit heavy, but overall a great product for iPad Air users.
This is the best iPad case and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile case. I’ve had the case for two semesters now and we have both been through it all. The magnets are still super strong almost a year later. Looking at it it may seem like a bit extra but I personally find myself using every single setting possible. The low settings are great for writing notes both on a table and in my lap. The standing ones are great for looking at it sitting down or angling it slightly upwards so you can see it while walking around a desk/the room. My grandma bought the same case and sticks it to her fridge when she’s cooking. (However she does have to use a spatula to get it off bc the magnets are so strong). The case stays clean and is super easy to clean. If you use your iPad for any kind of work or school purposes I 10000% recommend this case. It’s worth the price and will last you forever. I would include pictures but it looks exactly like the product pics so I don’t think it’s necessary.
I ordered this case because the idea of the magnetic angle holds was an idea I really liked since the magnetic folding triangle cases do not seem to be a sturdy option and this case seemed like a great price. I was interested in this case but saw comments on how it was heavy and that the Zugu case was lighter and better etc so I ordered 3 different brand cases all with the adjustable magnetic stand (specifically not the foldable triangle stand as these seem to not be a sturdy option) and tested each out. Which one made the cut?
In short the esr shift was superior in almost every way and here’s why:
Pros:
1. Multiple angles. This was the main reason I chose this case over any others. The ability to have so many different angles that worked with the case both in landscape and portrait was the selling point for me for this case. I love that there are two different flap/ stand options which allows for so many different angles that make it easy to find the position that works best, from laying down in bed reading to using it at a desk, the many different angles are very helpful in being able to use the iPad comfortably.
2. Landscape or portrait. This feature was the other main reason I chose this case over the others. Being able to choose and switch between landscape and portrait is an amazing feature, weather for reading books or playing games, you can position it the way you need while still being able to effectively use the stand features. I always hated when an app made me use my iPad in portrait mode because my case did not function that way which meant I was holding my entire iPad up to use it, which obviously is possible but was just something I found to be annoying and is a feature I didn’t know I needed until finding this case. To be fair, I honestly don’t use this feature super often but I love that I can turn it easily whenever I want.
3. Magnetic to back. I liked that this cases front cover when folded back sticks to the back of the case giving a sleek secure feel rather than just flopping around when holding the case like some of the other cases I tried did
4. Separate case. The ability to separate the case and just use the hard protective shell if you want a lighter feel is a great feature. The outer stand layer can easily be removed (although not easily enough it falls off, it is securely attached with magnets)
5. Magnetic to fridge etc. The shell that attaches to the iPad can be placed on any magnetic surface. I liked the idea I could place on my fridge while cooking etc but I have yet to actually use this feature.
6. Fingerprint id. The case has a cut out on the power button allowing for easy access to fingerprint id (some others have silicone covering this button). This was an important feature for me when choosing a case because I didn’t want to have to type my password in each time
7. Magnetic angles are sturdy. The magnetic stands are sturdy and hold the iPad securely at each angle regardless if you have it portrait or landscape. The magnets are strong and sturdy enough usually to keep the stand up even when picking the iPad up to reposition it on whatever surface you are using it on (I will note that the slot closest to the iPad sometimes will not stay put when I pick my iPad up but not something they really advertise it doing anyway, I just reposition my stand, super easy)
Cons:
1. Heavier than normal iPad case if looking for a light feel. Some people are looking for that iPad Air feel and this is not that. It does feel very secure and I honestly don’t find it to be very heavy.
2. Only change I’d maybe make is I wish it had an option to hold Apple Pencil securely on the charging area to keep it from getting knocked off but understand this would make case slightly bulkier and isn’t really a big deal. Although I know there is a slot for the pencil on the back I worry this may stretch overtime with continued use resulting in less secure hold on the Apple Pencil and does not have the ability to charge in that spot like it would if the slot was on the side
Overall I’m really happy with this case and the many different options and abilities it has. I didn’t know a case like this existed and is the best iPad case I’ve ever had due to its versability . Originally when I began the search for an iPad case I was hoping to get about the cheapest protective case possible but came across the magnetic stands feature and quickly changed my mind. The I came across this one and it was nearly perfect in every way. Exceeded expectations of a case with the wide variety of options it allows. Was only missing one thing in my opinion which is I was hoping to find a case that had an Apple Pencil holder on the side of the case so the pencil could charge while being stored safely but since I don’t use my Apple Pencil all the time this was not a deal breaker for me.
Compared to Zugu case for those on the fence:
To start the Zugu case is more expensive with less features but a few comments stating its superior quality resulted in me ordering it to give it a shot. 1. The weight of both was not significantly different but I will say Zugu was slightly lighter but not drastically enough to be a big factor to me. 2. One thing I liked about the Zugu that esr doesn’t have is a “holder” for the iPad pencil located in the side so it can charge. Although they both have the pencil sleeve on the back the idea to have it on the charger seemed like an nice idea although the Zugu slot was not as secure as I’d hoped and made the cover of the case hard to open since that area blocked being able to open the cover from the side which was a big con for me that I found pretty annoying. 3. The esr has a flush back / flat kickstand which has a nicer feel than that of the Zugu which does not have a completely flat back. 4. Esr has two different kickstand options which allows for more viewing angles, the Zugu has far less viewing options. 5. Esr can come off of the stand and act as a standalone case as well as be turned both landscape and portrait, none of which are options with the Zugu case as it doesn’t detach or go portrait. 6. Esr front cover will stay magnetized on the back when folded flat against the back of the case which is a great feature so it doesn’t fling around when you walk around or want to use it flat, something the Zugu case did not do. Overall I returned the Zugu and went with esr and very happy I did. Still great a year later.
TLDR Summary: Had this case for a year, still great. ESR Case is awesome, get it. Has the best features of any case I’ve tried. Only good case I’ve found that can go portrait or landscape. Two other family members ordered this case after looking at mine and also love it. All three of our cases still holding up great with year of daily use.
Note: originally ordered black but felt was too dark and easy to lose so changed to purple. If prone to losing things I recommend picking a color.

The Context:
I was looking for a slim magnetic case for my new [iPad 10th/11th Gen] that wouldn't add the massive bulk of a rugged "surround" case. I’ve used the official Apple Smart Folios in the past, but at 1/3 of the price, this ESR Rebound case is effectively indistinguishable in quality.
The Magnetic Connection:
The #1 concern with magnetic cases is if the iPad will slide out. I tested the "grip" by holding the cover and giving it a gentle shake—the magnets are incredibly strong. It snaps into place with a satisfying "thud" and aligns perfectly every time without me having to wiggle it around.
Daily Use & Functionality:
Auto Sleep/Wake: It works 100% of the time. The second I lift the cover, the screen is on. There’s no "lag" like you sometimes get with cheaper brands.
The Two-Way Stand: The trifold design is sturdy. In "Viewing Mode" (steeper angle), it doesn't collapse when I tap on the screen. In "Writing Mode" (low angle), it’s the perfect height for using a stylus or the ESR Digital Pencil without any wobble.
Pencil Security: If you have an Apple Pencil, the magnetic clasp wraps around it, which is a huge peace of mind when I’m tossing this into my backpack.
Texture & Build:
The finish is a smooth, rubberized matte. It feels premium and provides a lot of grip, though it does pick up fingerprints over time (a quick wipe with a damp cloth fixes it). Most importantly, it keeps the iPad feeling like a tablet, not a brick.
Pros:
Stronger magnets than most third-party brands.
Secure clasp for the Pencil.
Slim, lightweight, and professional-looking.
Cons:
Like all matte cases, it shows oil from your hands over time.
It offers minimal "drop" protection for the corners since the sides are exposed (the trade-off for the slim design).
Final Verdict:
If you want the sleek look of the Apple Folio but want actual protection for your Pencil and a fraction of the price tag, this is the one. It’s been on my iPad for two weeks now and I have zero desire to replace it.
Works wonderfully! Sleek- it’s ALL magnetic, no straps or gears, and the magnets are plenty strong. Stable. Simple, yet very flexible functionality. Snap your iPad into the frame and rotate the frame to your preferred orientation on the magnetic folio as shown in the photos. Secure fabric pocket for a pen on the exterior.
Have this case for my 9 year old’s school iPad. Her stylus can still use the magnet to the edge of the iPad and the pocket is snug enough that it hasn’t ever fallen out. The case is reasonably tough as I have seen it dropped a few times without damage. No complaints on the iPad sliding when placed in higher position on the magnet case. Since I’m not the primary user, I tend to not know which way the case opens at times but my kid seems to always be able to open it up quickly and flip it into desired position. The holes line up with the on/off button and speaker area. I wouldn’t give this to a wild child or a little kid but it does its job for those who know they need to be careful with tablets. We purchased a thin Bluetooth keyboard separately and it will magnet on to the outer part of the case and sits nicely between the stylus pocket and edge of case. We still use a padded sleeve when it’s in the backpack for insurance
