Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

The metal is legit, it does not deform under pressure, you don't have to worry about the raspberry pi getting damaged. Plenty of venting. The plug-in slots are all well accounted for in the case design. One of the best case options pound for pound at any price point.
It’s very solid and has plenty of room for connecting cables. A GPIO cable can be connected to the header and fed out the side to a bread board. Has room inside for a heat sink case attached to the RPI5. Comes with individual chip heat sinks (which I didn’t use). I already had a heat sink case attached to the RPI5 before purchasing this case. Now I have dual fans using splitter 4-pin cable that connects the heat sink fan and the larger case fan. I’m very happy with the appearance of my little black box and the sturdiness of it. Easy to assemble.

I bought this case to house my new Raspberry Pi 5. I'm a software engineer, and I've done a couple of contract jobs with the Pi. I currently own the original Pi plus the 0, 2, 3, 4 variations.
This case is technically excellent. It's not expensive, but it feels expensive. It's made of sturdy metal with a black matte finish. All the access cutouts fit precisely. It's taller than most, allowing excellent airflow both above and below the RPI5 circuit board.
I have included a top view of the open case. To access the circuit board, you remove 4 screws, and you can slide the case top to a stable working position with access to the circuit board. There is a cutout on the top so you can route a cable to the large connector and then reattach the case on top of the cable. Cables to the smaller connectors can be run out the air vents on the side and back.
The package includes 4 copper heat sinks well matched to 4 chips on the board. My package included an extra standoff, 4 rubber feet, and a few extra screws. Assembly is intuitive, so the instructions include only a few figures to guide you.
The case is well ventilated and my Pi runs (Ubuntu Linux) idle at 51°C with the fan turning off and on silently. When I stressed the Pi, I got the temperature up to a max of 72°F. Under those conditions, the fan spins up, and is a little lounder than I would like. After 12 house of operation, the metal case feels warm to the touch.
My only criticism of the case is during assembly. I'm over 70 and sometimes my hands shake. I found it difficult to attach the standoffs to the RPi board. It was hard to get my fingers or other tools in the corners where the standoffs hold the board to the case. It probably took me 60 minutes of fussing around to get the box together. I had to use a needle nose pliers to tighten the curcuit board fasteners. I'm still not sure if I tightened the screws too little or too tight.
I highly recommend this case to people with clever fingers or better tools who wish to use it as a closed box at least most of the time. Hobbiests who want frequent access to the RPI5 circuit board connectors will be happier with a case that has more room for their fingers.

Easy to install
Has access to all USB ports and memory card slot
The only thing to consider when about this case, it's not a light case if you looking for a light case to carry around.
However it's a strong case unlike the plastic ones.

Impressed. Fits together well. Leaves sdcard accessible
This is a top notch case for the pi 5. It's not small, kinda tall, but I had room for an NVME hat which I needed. I did install the fan on the outside (top) of the case rather than the inside as they show because I wanted plenty of room.
Really good fit and finish and they gave a few extra screws in there if you drop one.
I highly recommend this case.
Easy to assemble, good ventilation, and fan plugs into the Active Cooling socket, and it just works.
I wouldn't recommend this case if you need WiFi, as it's likely the metal case probably reduces WiFi range (although I didn't test this).
Nice solid case, for instances where you are going to plug it and put it somewhere that might take impacts or forgetting about this is a really great case. The only reason for 4 stars is the cooling is only adequate. If you think you are going to do more than basic tasks, look into adding one of the full board cooling options.
I can’t wait for my Pi5 to arrive!
This case is very well made and great value for money. It has a load of quality heat sinks and other bits & fittings too.
Ignore the screwdriver being inside the case and the case screwed shut. People are just being silly.
The screwdriver slips through the slots in the case very easily and can be retrieved and used to remove the pre-installed screws with no fuss. There is no issue there and people are being pedantic!
It’s a great case.
The case itself is well made, however with the N04 PCie expansion board you can't use the supplied fan. I have the raspberry pi official active cooler which works fine but as soon as I put the pi in the case it will not connect to wifi
