Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we donโt use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Learn more how customers reviews work on AmazonI've used tempered glass screen protectors on every phone I've had going back to the Note 3. There are drawbacks; they're easily dinged and usually need to be replaced every 2-3 months. But that's part of the tradeoff for having a screen that feels like glass and with a reasonably good case gives near-bulletproof protection from major damage to the screen. I accepted that tradeoff. But when they moved the fingerprint sensor to the screen, that created problems for tempered glass. I've tried the Whitestone Dome and AMfilm and I can't reliably reinstall either. I also tried the Zagg D30 version. On paper, it's the best combination of protection, feel, and fingerprint sensor usability. The problem with that one is the the install is almost impossible to execute, and you have to eyeball it pretty close to perfect to get it to work with a case. This screen protector provides minimal protection against breakage and doesn't match the feel of a tempered glass screen protector. But it still provides a lot of value. The clarity is fantastic, it provides good protection from scratches, self heals, and the fingerprint sensor is as good if not better than without using any screen protector at all. Install is forgiving. Don't worry so much about bubbles, they'll go away on their own. The only part you've got to be careful with is pulling edges when you're separating the screen protector from the non-sticky side during the install (it's easy to stretch, which can damage it).
I prefer tempered glass screen protectors but I can't find one that doesn't have that annoying hole for the fingerprint reader or one that doesn't cause issues with the fingerprint reader.
Decided to give this a try since I had a few Spigen products and they are always a great value for the money. Overall the install was pretty easy and I had no issues with the application and it went on perfectly. I just followed the instructions provided and their videos. The only extra step I had to do was run my finger around the edges a few times just to make sure they fully stuck on. Immediately after there was a slight rainbow effect on the screen when showing bright white pages but the next day it's all gone. So the screen protector after a day works pretty great and the fingerprint reader works just as well as it did with no screen protector on. I would recommend this to avoid the issues of the tempered glass ones.
I watched the videos on the installation both by Spigen and the Youtubers. Despite this, I messed up my first attempt and used the 2nd one. In retrospect, I probably could have just used the first one again but eh, I wanted to give it the best shot possible of success. I messed up the first one by not having perfect alignment before beginning to squeegee out the bubbles which kinda "sets in" the screen.
After the 2nd attempt and squeegeeing out the bubbles, there were some tiny bubble areas, and it disappeared entirely in a few minutes. The screen is smooth, no bubbles/dust underneath. It is firm in place. It seems pretty resistant to some minor scratch attempts I did with my keys. Fingerprint sensor works perfectly (without having to increase sensitivity or re-add the fingerprints).
I am a little concerned whether the sides closest to the curved edge will start to come off. Time will tell. For now, this seems like quite a good, cheap solution for everyday kind of scuff avoidance.
By the way I also tried a tempered glass solution and found that the fingerprint sensor totally didn't work in that and wasn't willing to try that again.
I mean, it's a plastic screen protector... you get 2 for $10. They're decently easy to put on but after about 3 weeks it started getting fuzz under the edges. The fuzz just lifts it up and introduces more fuzz working its way in. So if you plan to put this in your pocket, your purse, or any environment with the slightest amount of debri expect it to peel up pretty quickly.
1. The film does not go all the way to the edges of your screen, in the video tutorial it tells you to put your case on before applying the film. This is why.
2. The screen will constantly look wet after applying this. Grainy rainbow effect. Extremely irritating. (EDIT: over a day or two this wet look has decreased, but it is still there enough to be very irritating)
3. Impossible to apply film without some wrinkles in the film appearing, and/or small air bubbles.
4. Edges peeling, have no faith this will stay on for very long.
It's basically a piece of wet plastic stuck on your phone screen. Very disappointing. Whoever decided it was a good idea to use a spray bottle for adhesion needs a paycut.
EDIT: This film also LOVES fingerprints. I find it impossible to clean. It almost seems like it absorbs the natural grease of the skin into the product. Gross. Never had this happen with any other screen protection.
I've been using these screen protectors for a while now and while on a flat screen they're pretty good, a curved screen like what's found on the S21 has always been a problem. The flat area adheres pretty well and doesn't effect the quality of the screen much. But the curved edges pop up all along the sides of the screen and there's nothing you can do about it. So now you have a line of dust and debris getting stuck under the lifted edge and it looks awful. I followed instalation exactly as the video Spigen published tells you to. Its just a design flaw and I've been dealing with it since the S8. Unfortunately we're gonna be dealing with this until curved screens go away. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless they can look past that major issue.
So far so good, I put it on day one of its delivery and has held up very good, it does self heal pretty good. It has plenty of scarring from normal wear and tear and I even put good scratch on it that has healed itself fairly I was always skeptical about these film self heal protectors, my wife has used them in the past and I always though I will stick to tempered glass screen protectors but is my first go with one on my S21-ULTRA I like spegin and I will honestly say I am very pleased with this product the adhesive is still attached flawless when it comes to putting on screen protectors my O.C.D. kicks in, no bubbles except one tiny one but all others are gone. Now everyone is different I have a rugged work environment that's why my phonegets much scarring so I'm pleased how wellit has and still is doing. Definitely would recommend to anyone but like I said everyone handles their phones differently. I don't use my finger print reader but I'm sure it woks flawless, it hasn't been really test against drops and honestly don't know how well it would either, my review could go from hero to zero in the long run when my phone is eventually dropped and will get me back to tempered glass but for now I'm pleased either way spigen has good protectors in both form film and glass waiting for a liquid glass product from them.
The spigen screen protector was easy to install if you follow the instructions. First attempt was successful, no smears, bubbles or anything. They did mention to redo your finger print reader. But I didn't have to because it work well with the new screen protector. The only thing I found to be odd with the instructions was that you have to install the screen protector with you case still on the phone. After I installed it and check everything out, I seem to know why. It must be because of the curve screen. In the install video you see that they slide their finger along the edges of the case, that's to get the protector to stick to the curve along the phone case. I am using a Spigen phone case, I think if I was to get a new case, I would have to re install a new scree protector with the new phone case.
The Spigen NeoFlex Screen Protector is difficult to install. The trick to use is after spraying and positioning the screen protector, you need to use a hard card such as a credit card to push the water and air bubbles out to the edges horizontally and vertically. I prefer to do the vertical action first then do the horizontal pushing. Do not use the paper card tool supplied, it will absorb the water and is not hard enough. Damp paper card also leave paper debris stains and using not enough pressure will result in wrinkled surface and bubbles in the screen protector.
Also kurzum..
Excellent. I bought a different make screen protector which stopped my touch screen working properly. I sent that back and bought this one. It's great. Very easy to install and works perfectly.
I should have guessed. I have used Spigen cases on my phones for ages and they are always great quality.
Lรคtt att placera och รคr som Samsung original skรคrmskydd . Ingรฅr 2 stycken sรฅ nu har jag en i reserv. Super bra.
Extra protection for the Samsung.
