Excellent study guide for OCP17
Very dense in information, if you want to understand Java deeper, this is it
Extensive content, well explained and good coverage of all the features.
A new book with 2 minor broken pages. It is most likely by scratching. The book pages are very thin with so-so quality, not sure they can be kept for a long time.
Muy buen libro para aprender y practocar
This book weighs in at about 1000 pages. Luckily, there are 15 chapters and tons of practice questions. I like all the animal examples including the wolf and the dragon. The authors made it clear which features are new and demonstrated potentially tricky things you might get asked on the exam.
I saw their 815/816 book as well and this one flows a lot better. It was designed to be a single book rather than two books taped together. For example, all the material on modules is in one chapter and the examples build on each other.
If you plan to take the Java 17 cert or want to learn about Java in more detail, this is a great book.
I've read Java 8, Java 11 and now Java 17 versions of these cert books. They have everything you need, and nothing you don't. It helps that the examples are often funny and keep me from falling asleep while reading about generally dry topics.

This book is good but if you really want to nail it then consider getting the practice exam book too. Both are good and I recommend both.
