Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we donβt use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

**** Update June 2015 *****
I contacted Logitech's customer support; they made receiving a replacement unit very easy. Since I received the new unit, which is about a year by now, it has worked flawlessly and I am very pleased it. The wireless feature is wonderful, one less wire to get tangled up in, and the sound will carry a decent distance from the computer (can't specify what the exact range is, but I can walk around my house and still hold a signal). The sound is reasonably good for a lower priced headset; the microphone works well when I use Skype or Google Hangouts; the USB signal broadcast module is small...once plugged into a USB port, it only juts out about 1/4 inch; the ear pieces are nicely cushioned with foam, which I find more comfortable than some other headsets I've owned which had a plastic covering. Based on all this, I'm upgrading my review from 1-star for the failed unit to 5-stars for the replacement unit. The computer on which the original unit failed had a bad ventilation fan, and the USB module would get very hot: it's possible the overheating caused the unit to fail. I've only used the replacement on a different computer with no overheating issues, and it has worked flawlessly over many months now. I really do love this headset, and recommend it for the freedom from tangled wires it provides.
After having purchased 2 other headsets, and returning both because they wouldn't do what I needed them to do I finally found this little gem of a headset. I'd wanted a good lightweight yet reliable headset that would work with Dragon, and this is it, in fact, I am dictating this review from this headset on Dragon right now, and the headset is performing flawlessly. But I would expect no less since Logitech makes great products.
For dictation the headset mic picks up my voice without me having to raise my voice, and since it's wireless I can step away from the computer and wander around a little bit while I'm dictating my correspondence or a review such as this. I've also listened to music on it and while not as great as higher-priced headphones they will do the job if you want to listen to music from your computer and not disturb anybody else.
As with most products today the headset is made of plastic, and while I've not had them long I expect them to hold up as well is all Logitech products I've purchased in the past. And as usual with Logitech products the set up was very painless using the included unifying receiver which recognized my Logitech mouse and keyboard as well, and did not have to download any drivers whatsoever to work with my Win 7 computer and Dragon naturally speaking.
The instructions that come with the headset are minimal but all that you need, all the controls logically placed, which makes operation a snap, charging is done via USB as with most products today. The headset is adjustable and folds up for easy storage and can be worn on either side of the head. The unifying receiver can be securely stored in the headset to make it truly portable.
I have long used Logitech devices and have gotten excellent performance and service life from them. I got this particular headset trying to get wireless freedom and adequate performance and the same time. I knew from some reviews the performance may not be as good as the higher end models but again, trying to stay within budgets, it was a must. Generally I am very pleased with the quality of the headset. It works as described but my only major qualm with this headset is the volume and finer sound quality. I understand that with a wireless unit of any kind there are limitations with lower to moderately priced components and any performance parameter is limited by the amount of available power from the battery and the expected battery charge per use with the unit running at full performance. The H600 volume and sound quality are in the ballpark of an old walkman headset or similar lower powered audio receivers/speakers. If you want a headset for general use with wireless freedom, thereβs nothing wrong with it. If you need higher end sound quality, I would suggest the H800 or other high end wireless device with specs showing the level of performance you would expect. I am going to keep this headset and eventually get a more powerful set before long and use these as a backup or βliteβ set and they are very light and mostly pressure free to wear. The only other negative I will mention is that my headset came in a plastic bag which makes me think it was a refurbished unit rather than a new one as advertised. There was also no instructions in the bag with the unit but they were easy downloaded from Logitech. Hopefully this headset will hold up well and especially so after having gone through a nightmare with several Plantronics headsets that quit working after short to moderate time periods of use and no abuse!
Took me awhile to get this thing to work on my windows 10 pro work laptop. I could get it to pair initially but once I turned it off and back on would no longer pair. Frustrating when you think you have it setup and have to jump on a conference call in less than 10 minutes. I tried to remove the device and pair it again but the dumb thing wouldn't uninstall. took several tries and reboots to get it to uninstall. By that time i went back to my old USB headset and threw this in a drawer.
After several weeks I gave it another chance, finally on a suggestion I found on one of many forums regarding this type of issue, I opened the logitech pairing software using the "Run as administrator" and after doing that the headseat seems to pair as it should each time. When I power up takes about 10 seconds then you hear the faint beep of it connecting.
These are not the most comfortable headset I've used, but they're not the worst. This headset is fairly light but the band kind of squeezes against my ears to where after long sessions with it my ears are hot and are sore, maybe after it breaks in it'll loosen up. Sound quality is decent and the mic quality seems decent, no one on the other end seems to complain about poor quality audio coming out of my mic. I would also prefer to not have to use the USB nano bluetooth receiver to get it work my laptop that already has bluetooth just another thing to add to the docking station, there's probably a way of pairing without it but logitech doesn't seem interested in helping.
If I had to buy it again I probably wouldn't.
I bought this headset to use with Slackware 14.0 64bit OS, skype, a video cam, a large flat screen tv, wireless keyboard, and mouse. Out of the package (a reconditioned headset) it was not paired. You need a microsoft machine to run the pairing software (linux can't do this for you). I had to download the software, but not a big problem. And once paired up, just plug the usb transceiver into your linux box, and you're mostly there. Your desktop will most likely then see 2 sound cards. Linux does not gracefully switch between two sound cards "on the fly", but with a simple script you can easily toggle between headset or sound card. All you usually have to do is then restart the particular application in question, to recognize the desired sound device. Some applications, like Skype don't care so much. Sound quality is good and the microphone produces crisp, clear audio. The whole lashup works great with skype. Not bad device for listening to your favorite music, movies, YouTube or whatever, and you have your freedom to move around. Range of the wireless is good. The signal does not like to go through walls so much, but is entirely adequate for a very large living room. The headset is rechargeable, I like that. The physical quality of the of the reconditioned headset was great, with only a small blemish or two on the plastic head band. For me this purchase was a very good value, and it plays well with my system. All in all, I'm quite happy with the results.
This was my fourth purchase of this headset. I vowed to never buy it again after the third set stopped charging after a solid week of horrendous crackling noise in my ears, but truly, I do love the headset.
So I pulled the trigger one more time in the hopes that this time the headset would last at least one year.
NOPE! I bought this in late December of 2019, began experiencing the dreaded snap, crackle, pop in my headset on March 30th and as of today, the set no longer charges. It is dead in the water.
And of course, the window to return this headset closed on January 22nd, 2020, so I'm left with no recourse except to talk about it in a review.
The Good: It's a very lightweight headset that doesn't give you ear fatigue or a headache when you wear it for hours at a time. It has very clear, rich sound. The microphone is easy to use and the on ear volume and mute buttons are awesome.
The Bad: The quality is very poor. I've never had one of these sets last for more than 6 months before they start crackling and popping and nothing fixes it. Within weeks, or sometimes days, of the crackling sound, they simply stop charging and that's that.
I do NOT abuse my headset, it's only used at my PC and has it's own stand for charging. I'm gentle when I plug it in to charge it. I have no kids in the house, so I'm the sole user. So there's no excuse for the issues with the headset.
I ordered these headphones because I spend a lot of my time creating training videos for my job. I had a pair of Logitech Wired headphones that I love but I kept getting the cord wrapped up. I originally bought a much more expensive pair and was very unhappy with the background static. This pair works great for what I need. I am able to record video and it picks up my voice nicely without much static. Probably not as good as wired ones but the difference is minimal. I don't tend to stray too far from my office but I can easily go down the hall and still have reception. The price on these was excellent. It was over $100 less than the other wireless ones I bought and sound much better.
It is also great feature that they fold up but they don't really get that small.
I work from home and attend many remote video/audio meetings. Before using this headset, I had various audo/echo issues in various Apps. One of my colleagues recommended this headset, so I ordered one. This headset is great! I just plugged its transmitter into one of my USB ports (make sure the headset is charged before use), and then just turned On the headset, pressed the coupling button, and it connected. I've been using it with Adobe Connect, Teams, and Skype Apps, and it works great, VERY comfortable, great sound, and everyone says they can hear me clearly. I use this a few hours per day, and it remains charged for long periods (I've been recharging it overnight due to its heavy use during the day). Highly recommend!
Quality brand at great price
This is concerning Logitech H600 Wireless Headset (981-000341) . I don't see a need for a higher end model. After over 6 weeks, there is never crackling at any time, on a windows 10 PC. Sound is even BETTER and CLEARER than wired headset. Lasts over 8 hours. You can charge this with a regular USB port. These are actually super comfortable and I would not have any problem wearing it for 20 hours+ A winner
