Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Learn more how customers reviews work on AmazonSolid mouse. Great function / form. Fantastic battery life. Scroll wheel may squeak a bit with use. But always works perfectly fine despite that.
I'm really disappointed in this mouse. From everything I saw and read, I thought this was going to be a premium product, but it's really not.
Pros:
- Overall build quality seems good (with exceptions)
- Wireless receiver seems to work well
Cons:
- Significantly smaller than I expected - yes, I should have checked the dimensions, but at this size, this product should specifically be marketed as a mobile/travel mouse
- Sometimes the left button makes an annoying hollow chirp noise when clicking
- Tracking feels mediocre (being used on a brand new high-quality mouse pad)
- Mouse wheel has a defined notches, which is nice, but still feels sloppy when using
Now, perhaps the most annoying oversight of this mouse is that it does not have software to customize the two side buttons or the DPI button. I know many inexpensive mice with side buttons are like this (with only page forward and back functionality), but I never thought it remotely possible that Cherry would be so lazy with this mouse - a mouse Cherry claims is "ingenious, with innovative features, and for users with sophisticated demands." Are you serious?
I'm definitely going to try to return this. At this price point, the lack of features and overall quality is unacceptable.
I like this mouse, its really neat, high quality and well made. It comes with a Micro-USB charging cable and a natty little carrying bag with the Cherry logo on it. The 2.4 GHz mini USB receiver is stored in a magnetic receptacle in the base of the mouse keeping it nice and safe.
Others have complained that this mouse is too small, well that's because its a mouse for a notebook, laptop or surface tablet etc if you want a Cherry full sized mouse the equivalent is the Cherry MW Ergo 8 mouse which is the full size job. Therefore if you bought this for your desktop, buddy you bought the wrong one.
Charging is a little bit slow, but I leave it charging overnight, so its not that big a deal, either the battery is substantial or the charge rate is slow, I suspect the latter. Also the Mouse will run for a long time, it has a power save mode that if you leave it on, then it will go to sleep and use almost no power at all.
So why beware of the Bluetooth? Well, it only works with Bluetooth 4.0 or better, if you have a Bluetooth 2.0, 2.1 or 3.0 device in your computer then the mouse simply isn't recognized by it. I suspect that is probably because the mouse uses Bluetooth Low Energy and the older incarnations of Bluetooth do not support it. I changed the internal card in one of my laptops to a Bluetooth 4.0 device on the strength of it. You can of course plug in the Wireless Receiver, however that takes up a USB port, and on a lot of laptops USB ports are becoming a premium.
