Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we donโt use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Learn more how customers reviews work on AmazonI was looking for a fast wireless charger (15w) that could stand up (when i want to charge my phone) and lay flat (when I want to charge my wireless earbuds). This was the only name-brand version i could find that fits the bill.
When I first received it, I noticed that none of my chargers were working at all. This Spigen charger is USB-C, but no USB-C chargers I had worked. I then tried the cable that came in the box and it worked fine. I thought it was a proprietary cable (and was going to return it), but after reading other reviews, I saw that the cable couldn't be USB-c to USB-c but had to be USB-c to USB-A (for whatever reason). I can confirm that any USB-C to USB-A cable does work (not just the one that came in the box).
Next, i discovered that fast wireless charging wasn't working. But again, after reading reviews, I saw it had to be QC 3.0. I connected it to a QC adapter and fast charging started working.
All in all, not the most convenient (needing certain cables and certain power adapters), but it fits the bill and I'll be keeping it.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 phone and would plug it in to charge every night on my nightstand. The quick charging was great, but I'm in bed for 6-7 hours, so speed wasn't a key priority. This device charged the phone wirelessly, and propped it up to make it easier to see and react to my daily alarm clock (phone app). This way, I can used a charging port plug inserted so I'm not constantly cleaning out lint that works its way inside the phone. The charging on this charger isn't as fast (so it takes an hour rather than 30 minutes), but that was not critical for me.
Edit: Spigan offered me a fill refund or a coupon to replace for 99% off (24 cents with shipping). I went with replacement because I do usually like the brand.
The replacement functions with my case and seems to be working perfectly. Going to say the original was faulty. Will probably order another soon [one for work].
โ------------
Only works if you want an unprotected phone.
Bought two different chargers cause I couldn't make up my mind and wanted one for home and one for my desk at work. Usually love this brand. However I could not get this one to work in either of the phone cases I bought for my Galaxy S21 Ultra. The other charger and the car charger work (wireless) with both of the cases, so just assuming this one is not as powerful. It has also started a high pitch squeal and I've had to unplug it entirely.
It DOES work when I take off the case, but the cameras sit at the edge and rub, worried about scratches. It's also very very slippery with the S21 (I have a glass protector over the camera lenses).
TLDR: The light on the front is bright enough that I have to cover it to use it on my nightstand (plus it's blue so a bit harsh). And, many of my power adapters and cables simply do not work with it. I still haven't gotten anything close to fast charging.
Update: no usb-c charger seems to work with this stand- I've tried four different ones, two of which are brand new. You have to use a USB-A charger apparently...
Ok, so I like Spigen- I've gotten Spigen cases for years now. But this is a DON'T BUY! I should have read the reviews before buying so hopefully someone is reading my review first. I have seen similar issues to what I'm going to say from other reviewers.
First, the description says "low blue light". Yeah, it's very bright and a very obtrusive color for the night. I bought this for my nightstand and I can't use it without modification. The first night I placed another object in front of it and tonight I'll be adding tape to it.
But, the real issue is that, with many of my power adapters, it simply does not work at all. No lights, no charging. I was getting this for my nightstand so I don't really need the fast charging. It has 6 hours at night to charge. But, still, I bought the Amazon recommended Spigen 27w fast charging power adapter for it. This takes a USB-C input so I bought a USB-C adapter. I have other USB-C to USB-C fast charging adapters so I figured I could use one of the cables I had lying around. However, I still have not gotten a USB-C to USB-C cable to work.
I was very confused when I opened this to find a USB-A to USB-C cable in the box. But, most people have USB-A power supplies, so I shrugged my shoulders and thought, "It's ok, I have USB-C to USB-C cables." Yeah...none of my USB-C power adapters have worked so far, including the Amazon recommended Spigen USB-C adapter. The adapters all work, the cables all work, but they will not turn this stand on AT ALL.
I ordered another USB-C quick charging adapter and new USB-C to USB-C quick charging cable to see if there is any combination of USB-C adapter that will work. But, as of now, the only adapters that work are USB-A adapters. I plugged the cable from my USB-A adapter into the stand and it lit right up and charged my phone fully overnight. So, it's still useable...but, really? What kind of charging stand takes some crazy kind of odd combination that it has to come from a USB-A outlet? What's the point? At first, I thought what others thought- the stand was defective. But it's just some very weird specification that it won't turn on at all with normal power adapters.
If it's going to be that specific in its requirements, it should come with the adapter. Just stay away!
Pros:
I love being able to fold it between standing and flat. This is the main reason for why I purchased this and it makes traveling with it SO much easier.
Cons:
So apon receiving it I didn't realize that I was gonna basically have to hunt down a charger that is USB-C, used more than 45w (cause I need to be able to charge my phone quickly) and can be used with this stand, also I needed a longer cable so I had to buy a braided cable and a specific kind that kept the electricity stable through it(not allowing it to get too unstable). So far based off of my issues and searching around on the internet for why this is happening I have come to the conclusion that this wireless stand is built for older types of phones that supported wireless charging so if I need to charge my phone quickly, I should just plug in the phone and not use the stand.
Overall the selling point is that when it has the right cable and charger, its a great travel charger. It doesn't charge fast enough and that needs to be addressed with a future version.
Spigen if you're reading these reviews you NEED either update this product to work with modern phones and faster chargers(while still being able to fold it) OR (easier option)sell it with the correct charger as a bundle and separate the cable(which will drop the base price) and then sell the cable at different lengths to allow for more complete bundles.
I'm not sure if Spigen or Samsung updated something but after reading many reviews stating that this charger didn't Fast Wirelessly Charge 2020 Galaxy devices I was hesitant to purchase it as the only reasons I wanted to get it was to replace my former chargers that didn't Fast Wirelessly Charge my new Galaxy Note20 Ultra and I wanted a portable option for when I start traveling again. I even purchased another that was similar but was ALOT bigger in size and didn't use a USB port but a DC. Finally I said I would buy one test it out and if it worked would get another. Now I have 2 because this charger Fast Wirelessly Charged my Galaxy Note20 Ultra (pic attached) and it only took a Qualcom Quick Charge 2.0 output to do so

So prior to buying this I saw so many reviewers mentioning how "It's slow" or that "it doesn't work with my GAN charger." Here's the deal. Both my iPhone 12 mini and Note 10+ charge at the full 12w and 15w with this charger no problem. This qi charger uses USB C, HOWEVER, the AC adapter needs to be a quick charge 3.0/4.0 AC adapter with at least 18W per port. Preferably 24w if you can find one. If you're trying to use a PD only AC adapter you will not get full speed and/or this qi charger may not work at all. The majority of phones shipping today ship with PD or power delivery chargers. If you don't see the qualcomm quick charge logo, its not going to work. Otherwise this charger is great. Do a search for qualcomm qc 3.0 or qc4 charger on amazon and pick one up to save yourself the hassle. You can buy them by like the 5 pack for like $10-15.

Just arrived yesterday. I like the idea of being able to collapse this for travel to slip it into a pocket. When standing it up it has a kickstand instead of a hinge to support it. I have a different unit with just a hinge and although it works it does give some overtime. This unit has a surface that is not slippery and more of a resting point for the phone so it's easier to rest the phone on the stand. I've been a fan of Spigne cases so I thought I'd try this. I set this by my bed for overnight charging and my S21 Ultra goes into a clock mode when doing so. So not so concerned about a fast charge. Charges through the case as well.
So far so good...time will tell.

La carga es lenta para dispositivos de apple, pero creo que eso es limitante de la marca y no de este producto. Recomendable.
Spigen always compatible Samsung. I am using Samsung S20 FE 5G and it works perfectly even with the stock charger provided with my phone. Not getting full 15W wireless charging speed but getting around 12-13W which is sifficient as none other chargers are compatible.
I was unable to get the charger to work off of USB from my PC, was really hoping it would work since I'm running low on power outlets in my room. Charging off wall power works well though.
I have been using it from last 2-3 weeks for my iPhone X. I haven't faced any issue so far. In case of iPhone, if your original cable is broken and 2k is the price for new cable, I would suggest you to buy this product.
I bought monkey cable in Rs. 500 from Apple Store that stopped working in 3 weeks, got replaced but again stopped working. I think, buying this would be a good idea.
