Phenomenal controller! This thing works flawlessly, it’s as plug and play as it gets. Used it with mine and the wife’s computers, our Steam Deck, and ROG Ally, and it really did just plug in and work. Buttons were super responsive, no stick drift, and it’s super lightweight so you can take it anywhere and use it all day. It doesn’t seem to need any kind of extra software unless you want to program the buttons on the back. It just works, with every device we’ve tried!

The dongle cannot be purchased on its own. Booo. I lost mine dongle for like 3 months and couldn't use it. Cleaned up found it. But it is useless without the dongle.

Normally I keep my gaming sessions fairly short so I wasn’t terribly worried about things like battery life and the like, I figured I wouldn’t run into that at all.

Well this past weekend I went on a bit of a gaming binge, the summer sales for games and wanting to beat the heat indoors caught up to me. I wound up playing way more than typical.

This thing kept on chugging along without so much as a mild hiccup or stutter for 12 hours off it’s charging stand. My hands were comfortable the whole time, my wrists and fingers didn’t feel any strain after holding it. It’s lightweight and natural to hold, it’s got power for hours and hours, and the pressure of the buttons is just perfect. I also really like how I can feel the distinct dip between the back bumper buttons and the triggers, on some controllers they’re difficult to feel apart and I wind up fumbling occasionally, especially when I’m tired. Not a problem here. Great controller.

While the 8Bitdo Ultimate is undoubtedly a fantastic choice if you plan to use it alongside other types of controllers, it seems to struggle when paired with another 8Bitdo controller through the 8Bitdo dongle. This issue could potentially limit its appeal for users who specifically want to use multiple 8Bitdo controllers within the same gaming setup.

Was searching everywhere for this specific color cause my wife is a pink fanatic lol. The controller is great I really love 8bitdo controllers because I never get stick drift on them. My wife uses it all the time when she’s not using her keyboard. My son was using it for a while too to play Minecraft and he often drop it cause he’s young. The controller is still going strong. It’s not broken, no stick drift, and it continues to work perfectly. Can use it on pc, your tv, your tablet, your phone, and your switch or emulating devices.

I really love this controller. It's only my second 8bitdo one, that first being more in the ps2 style which I also liked. This one is more comfy in my hand, the buttons and sticks feel a tad more responsive, and also it's cuter. The battery life seems really good too. I haven't really had call to use the extra buttons or features but they are there if you want them.

Seems like a good controller, feels good in my hands. Happy to have 2.4ghz wireless. Removing a star because mine came scuffed new out of the box.

EDIT: Bumping this down to a 1 star for Android compatibility. I was able to plug the dongle in to my Android device and the controller seemed to be working well. After about 10 minutes or so the controller would turn off. At first I thought it was the battery and maybe my controller was faulty. I reached out to 8bitdo support and they recommended a firmware update for the controller and dongle which need to be done via PC. I did both the updates and was able to pair the controller on my PC using their pairing tool. After that I tried to connect the dongle to my Android device and it no longer connects to the dongle in D mode (which is the controller mode for Android) only X mode. Android is the main reason I bought this controller in the first place so I will most likely be returning if I can't get it working. Even still, it has wasted a lot of time trying to get it sorted out. And I'm out of ideas what to try, so waiting for their support to get back to me. Still don't have a working controller.

I've bought a controller from this company before, and these controllers are made very well! It feels really comfortable in my hand. I wanted an Xbox controller that connected to my pc easily and has a default configuration set up for most games, this one that and some! I love the charging station that also holds the Bluetooth plug in, which makes the connection way easier. And it looks really cute on my desk! 10/10

Buen control y muy bonito el color rosa.

8bitdo hace unos mandos muy buenos a precio reducido, de una calidad propia de mandos de precios mucho más alto. Se lo he comprado a mi no vía y está encantada. Lleva usándolo ya más de 1 año sin ningún tipo de problema. Es perfecto para usar en pc y Nintendo switch, y lo mejor de todo es que es inalámbrico, y en inalámbrico funciona muy bien también. Es un mando perfecto.
