Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Learn more how customers reviews work on AmazonI honestly don't usually write reviews unless I'm pissed about something, it's very rare that I'm inspired to the point where I take time out to go review something that I actually like. That being said, for $12 this is probably the best value I've found in a very long time. Rock solid product, couldn't be happier, like I seriously wish there was more I could say but this thing is just SOOOO worth the money.
This thing actually cools better with no fan than the case I bought that had a little fan in it, and it looks 10 times as good. The other case was plastic, not terrible, but you could tell it only cost like 15 bucks by holding in your hand. This thing feels like it should be 40 bucks easy, it's solid, everything fits perfectly and it doesn't feel cheap.
If there was one thing that they could improve on it would be simply to add the neoprene button / led cover to the instructions. Not that it's not easy enough to figure out what to do with it, just that it would be annoying to put the whole thing together and then have to take it back apart because you found that little piece after you were done.
This is a really great design. I needed a cooling solution for a Rpi 5 with no moving parts and this fits the bill -- I haven't seen any thermal throttling since installing this case. The installation was super simple and everything fits well, the case is built like a tank, and of course it is 100% silent since it is fanless.
The one I got fits my Pi 5 very snugly and securely - no issues with alignment or gaps. I'm very pleased with it and I think it's a great case, especially for the price I paid for it here. Solid, thick metal, but not oversized. Great heat transfer and dissipation, tested by me dynamically inside and out of 26 external layer, 52 total, of Mylar insulation enclosure. Great thermal adhesion with the included pads. See the attached chart of the temperature measurements I recorded for specific values and test conditions. Thanks.
Oh, I should mention to take the plastic off of both sides of the thermal pads. It is fairly obvious on the large one, but on the smaller ones too there is plastic on both sides that should be removed, one side thicker and the other thinner like the thin plastic food wrap. Cheers.
Update: A great case indeed. I overclocked my Pi 5 to 3Ghz CPU and 1GHz GPU at 1V and running a fully loaded stress test for over an hour without crashing or faulting got up to a max internal CPU temp of about 80C while settling to the high average of about 75C, so it should handle normal workloads without any issues at these rates.

Sheds heat well, looks good, durable, comes with good-quality heat sink pads
I've installed this case on four Raspberry Pi 5 boards and encountered a consistent issue. Initially, the Pi boards seemed to fit with some adjustment, but they wouldn't boot up. The problem was minor but critical - the case was slightly misaligned by about 1/16th of an inch, affecting the power button.
After a day of troubleshooting, I discovered that the small white silicone button cover in the case was the culprit. When the board was seated correctly, it pressed and held down the power button, preventing the Pi from booting up. The solution was simple: I used a small screwdriver to adjust the silicone cover inside its seat, giving the power button enough clearance. This minor fix was needed for all four cases I installed.
Once adjusted, the assembly was quick, and all my Raspberry Pi 5 boards are now functioning perfectly in their new cases. Just a heads-up for those installing this case - check the power button alignment to avoid the same issue.
Great solid case, my pi stays cool. Wifi reception suffers greatly due to it being a block of aluminum.
case seems fine but it lost bluetooth connection to some of my sensors because the metal really reduces range. had to buy an external dongle which i didn’t plan on
Still going strong (or cool). Easy to install and looks very clean on shelf. It's also very sturdy.
This is a fantastic, solid case. Everything fits together perfectly, and the Raspberry Pi 5 aligns exactly with the standoffs. It even includes a small rubber cover for the power button, so you can press it without opening the case.
I stress-tested it by running all four Pi 5 CPU cores near full load for an hour during a video-encoding task. The case became quite warm—as expected, since it’s designed to act as a heat sink—but the CPU stayed under 57°C the entire time.
With this case, there’s no need for noisy, power-hungry fans that can fail over time. This is my new go-to Raspberry Pi case.

Excelente qualidade, com acesso aos botoes, por nao ter ventoinha ZERO barulho.
A temperatura caiu de 65 com ventinha (case padrao) para 43 graus sem ventoinha
Very solid, well-built case with a premium aluminum feel. It’s compact, has a nice heavy feel, and is very durable. Assembly takes some care, as aligning the Pi can need adjustment. Only two screws secure the board, while the others hold the case together, so be gentle. Overall, a great compact and sturdy option. Temps hold well, staying around 45–55°C in a 32–36°C climate.
As shown and more:
- I bought the case to protect my Raspberry Pi 5 for travelling/packing away, already bricked a Pi 5 because one or more resisters came off/sheared off in the bottom in the first 24hrs. I wanted a case that fully enclosed the Pi, the top and bottom parts of the case connected to ensure no risk of water/coffee falling and prevented flexing of the PCB.
- The top part of the case (on the inside) has large heatsink built into it with fins, it sits sits on the SoC chip and Ram chip with thermal pads.
- The bottom part of the case has an additional thermal pad that sits under the board; covers almost 50% on the board and is on the SDcard.
- Temperatures using an external SSD to boot up the pie was between 42c to 50c while installing Eclipse IDE, with one HDMI monitor, and playing a Youtube video on and HD monitor.
- Temperatures using an SDcard was between 48.8c to 52.1c while installing Eclipse IDE, with one HDMI monitor, and playing a Youtube video on and HD monitor. (ambient temp was 24c)
- Using the Eclipse IDE and VSCode temperature float around 45c for the SSD and 48.8c on SDcard video on and HD monitor. (ambient temp was 24c)
- Wifi connects as normal at 25 feet/7meters for me
