I was looking for a clamp that I could use to secure my phone--with my guitar tuning app on it--to a mic stand for use during performances. I have tried a couple of gadgets that were made for other uses and I repurposed them, but none really worked that well or helped me feel assured the phone was not going to fall. And then I met the Kiorafoto Mic Stand Phone Holder. This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. Build quality is outstanding, with tight fit and handsome aesthetics that don't look like some homemade contraption is stuck to my stand. Instructions to do the minimal assembly required are clear, in good English, and sport useful illustration diagrams. I use this on a mic stand that holds my tablet sheet music reader, and I place the Kiorafoto just below and to the right of the tablet. To a musician today, our phone can hold lyrics, a tuner like I use, music that I pipe through my sound system from my phone using Bluetooth...you get the picture. A phone is too useful a tool to keep in your bag, or to try to juggle during a gig. Clamping to the mic stand using a thumb screw is rock solid. Set it at the height you need and it's done. The magnetic ring that can be used if your phone's OEM case can't be magnetized is super strong. For any normal phone today, this should be fine. The magnet on the arm extension just about jumps out to lock on the ring attached to the back of my phone. And the good news is, the ring is so thin it doesn't interfere with me putting the phone back in my flex case when the gig is over. An under $20 buy (at the time of this review) that handles its design purpose this well is a no-brainer to get. If you use a phone for ANYTHING that requires you to refer to it while you do something else with your hands, this is for you. Love it, love it, love it!
