Not sure how Apideck can help you scale your business?

When integrating with ecommerce platforms through Apideck, different connectors have varying partnership requirements. Understanding these requirements is essential for planning your integration timeline and ensuring compliance with each platform's developer policies.

This guide categorizes our ecommerce connectors into three groups based on their partnership requirements, helping you understand what's needed before going live with each integration.

Partnership Categories

๐Ÿ”ด Partnership Required

These platforms require the customer to register as a developer or partner with the third-party service and obtain their own API credentials before going live. This typically involves completing a developer profile, agreeing to terms of service, and potentially passing a security or data protection review. Examples include Amazon Seller Central, Walmart, and TikTok Shop.

๐Ÿ”ต Partnership Optional (Apideck Credentials Available)

For these connectors, Apideck has already established credentials that you can use, so you can start integrating immediately without registering your own app with the third-party service. When your users authenticate, Apideck will be shown as the application requesting access. You may optionally register your own app if you prefer your own branding during the OAuth consent flow.

๐ŸŸข No Partnership Required

These connectors allow immediate integration without requiring any formal partnership. Connection is typically established directly through API keys generated in the platform's admin panel. Examples include Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and Wix.

Connector Partnership Matrix

The table below provides a complete overview of partnership requirements, availability of partner introductions, associated fees, and links to documentation for each connector.

  3. (Optional) Register your own app for custom branding on the consent screen.

For Connectors with No Partnership Required (Green)

  2. Your end-users authenticate using their own credentials (API key, username/password, or OAuth consent) from the platform.
  3. No customer-side configuration or partner registration is needed.

Partner Introduction Program

For connectors where partner introductions are available, Apideck can facilitate an introduction to the platform's partnership team. This can help expedite your application process and ensure you're connected with the right contacts. Reach out to your Apideck account manager or contact partners@apideck.com to request an introduction.
